Firstly the island is fantastic! This hotel is located in a great place to walk to the beach, bars, restaurants within 5 minutes. The supermarket, bakery etc.

Worth a visit to tranquilo bar for food and cocktails.

The hotel itself is one of the “few” nice 4* plus hotels in the area and on the island basically that aren’t ridiculously priced!

The hotel was very clean and well kept. Pool area was perfect. Lots of beds, most comfy pool beds we have ever had. Pool was great temperature! The bar was also nice and reasonable prices.

Breakfast choice limited but didn’t mind this as had everything we would eat anyway, just saw this was something other reviews mentioned. Staff at breakfast fantastic, very attentive.

Staff at the bar through the day also lovely. Lunch menu food was delicious.

When we arrived there was a welcome drink which is a good touch but only 1 free bottle of water on the first day which should really be 1 per day at least. Cleaners come daily, new towels, beach towels changed if you ask also. Room was huge, clean, lovely, bed was massive. The rooms must recently have been refurbished compared to old pictures of the hotel from a couple years ago.

Amenities are basic for a 4/5* hotel but again the hotel is really quite small. It really is centred around the pool. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday it’s perfect for that as very quiet hotel, no pool music etc. So a quiet vibe.

We hired a car via the hotel for 3 days to get round the whole island which was really easy to do with reception. Didn’t compare prices elsewhere so can’t comment on value but we visited Oia, Fira , kamari, ammoudi during the day/nights which is a MUST!!

Only small complaints are that the reception staff aren’t the best, very confused and disorganised generally. They were quite angry when they thought we were meant to check out on the wrong day saying we should be out of our room by now etc etc whilst we sunbathed by the pool and had to correct them that we weren’t leaving that day. Very apologetic but quite rude. Also they switched our room key off after this as again weren’t organised. Our cleaner was waiting to clean our room on our departure day at 9:30 when check out wasn’t til 11 so again felt rushed like they wanted rid of you.

Bathrooms could have had an update along with the room itself as they were quite dated.

Other than this we had a great time!!! Would revisit the same area as a perfect location.

Just got back after a fantastic week here. View from reception out to the pool was stunning. Check in was quick, taken to the pool bar for sparkling wine whilst we filled out our form. Went back to be taken to our room, bags had already gone. Was told we’d been upgraded & Wowee what an upgrade,, included a sitting room, bedroom, bathroom & lastly our own private pool overlooking fields with donkeys & the sea. What a fabulous treat, totally unexpected. Thank you 9 muses.
2 bottles of Water supplied Room cleaned all but one day, fresh towels supplied daily. William our cleaner so friendly. We stayed B&B. Breakfast was ok, not many hot vegetarian options & one thing I missed was pancakes. Stayed for dinner once, a la carte menu, same choice all week so not a lot to choose from, but there are lots of restaurants nearby on the beach front & it was nice to go out. Communal pool great. Always got a sun bed,, fabulous view of the mountains. Gym well equipped, towels supplied but no hand sanitizer (in fact there was none of this anywhere which did surprise me) no cleaning stuff so you couldn’t clean equipment when you’d finished & lastly no water fountain in there. Grounds lovely. Didn’t use the tennis courts or table tennis. Did hire a car & drove around the whole island. Breath taking views & in parts a bit scary on them cliffs though I would recommend this. Just one thing to mention is some of the walk from the hotel to the beach is quite poor,, be prepared for this. Also the tethered solo dogs, clearly guard dogs, with no beds shelter or water was heartbreaking to see. Lots of cats too, which we obviously fed.
All in all was a great relaxing holiday in a beautiful hotel. Would definitely recommend if R&R is what you need 😊

We stayed at the Nine Muses at the beginning of June 2022, we arrived late as our flight had been delayed so we were told to go and get some food before we got checked in. While we were eating our food someone took our bags to our room. The hotel looked lovely very clean and nicely decorated, with a lovely poolside area and bar which serve great food. Our room had all we needed, with a fairly big bathroom. A lovely man came in everyday to clean and it was always immaculate when we came back in the evening, he deserves a pat on the back he was always friendly and worked very long hours in the extreme heat.

The reception staff are also very friendly and very helpful, nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel and pool area is very quiet but only a five minute walk to the beach and all the restaurants if you want something a bit livelier in the evening.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to return one day.

When I come to a hotel that is presented as a 5*, I expect some basic things to be working properly. It is not the case of this hotel.

On my holidays I am searching for a place, where I can rest, but also where I can do some online work and where my son could also take some online lessons. Internet in this hotel was such a poor quality, that none of this was possible. After my complaints, instead of solving this problem, they told me, that internet should be working fine and if it is not, I should go and work from the reception hall (!!!) This happens in 2021 in the 5 star hotel!. They could buy proper router for the whole hotel for the 10 percent of the price they ask for the room per night.

The other thing, I like to make myself coffee, or tea in the room, whenever I want. The kettle is a basic equipment of the hotel rooms from the 2 stars above. But not in this 5 star hotel. No coffee, no tea, no kettle. When I asked them why - tha answer was: "Because of COVID!" :D really so funny. After that they gave a kettle to my room, which increased the chance of me getting COVID a lot!.

I really dont like to face nonsenses that people are telling. I dont expect that on my holiday. Things like that should be just working, and I dont care, about the other things in the hotel, if the basic ruins my days. Do not go there, really.

Nice hotel with great staff, however I would say expect more from a hotel that claims to be 5 stars. I would stay it's more of a 3-4 start resort.
The breakfast was okay, however apart from the cooked food (eggs, sausages, bacon etc) the rest of the food is not covered and the fruit, yogurt, meat and cheeses had loads of flies on it which is extremely off putting and meant I couldn't eat it.

There was no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in the room which was also very disappointing. have never stayed at a hotel that didn't have a kettle in the room even cheap hostels l've stayed in have had a kettle).
I would also expect a 5 star hotel to give a fresh bottle of water everyday which they did not.

The food on offer for lunch and dinner was always very nice, although the menu could do with a few more different options. Nice clean pools and the cleaners of the room were brilliant and very friendly.

The spa was very disappointing, we paid €80 for what was suppose to be an hour massage (which I could only describe as torture) but was only 40 minutes. The lady doing the massage was quite aggressive and I was trying not to flinch as it was so painful. At one point I couldn’t help but flinch and she smacked my leg and said “relax” which was impossible due to the pain.

I would visit again, however I think the hotel should not be advertised as 5 star, as my high expectations for this rating were not met.

We stayed here in September 2021 and from the moment we arrived here we were made to feel welcome by the reception staff and the bar man, our room was clean and very modern in decor , however there was a problem with the room on the second day and we were moved to a superior suite which was surprisingly good as we didn’t expect it. The outside area is spacious and tidy but we did not really use this area as we had our own pool, the hotel is quite close to the beach, about a 5 minute walk, and is near to perissa. Now for the down side...the restaurant staff really need a lesson in people skills as we both found the staff there to be rude and humourless! There were comments like “ you need to sit over there” and “ do you want juice? Yes or no?” I’m sorry but I’m on holiday and common courtesy seem to be lacking here. The breakfast is reasonable but the evening set meals need improvement I was served with raw pork! And my partner got a Greek salad that was more olive oil than salad! We ended up eating elsewhere after this

We went to the hotel for our honeymoon in early June and had a great time.
We were upgraded to a first floor suite with sea view and 2 balconies which was lovely.
The food was hit and miss in the evening but breakfast buffet was okay.
The hotel is a 10 minute stroll from the beach front restaurant’s and bars.
The hotel is great for a relaxing time by the pool and the jacuzzi .Unfortunately not all of the jacuzzi functions were working, must have been great when new.
Never a problem with sun beds or shade Drink’s are very cheap and a happy hour for cocktails .
The staff were not well trained and were very young.a smile would help. Our cleaner was awful never mopped the floor once and miserable.
Lots of the rooms have no view or privacy so ask for first floor pool view.
With a bit of work upgrade bathrooms jacuzzi and staff then this will be a 5 star hotel.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were met by a lovely lady at receiption. We were shown around the hotel and we were then offered a welcome drink. As our room was not ready, chceck-in time is 3PM, we sat at the taverna restuarant and had a snack.

We booked Half Board and we were very under-whelmed with both the lunch and dinner menus. There were usually 2 starters, main courses and desserts to choose from. For anyone that is not that adventurous with their food, it is not great! If you want, you do have the choice of swapping the dinner for a lunch instead. I would say, that both the lunch and dinner options are not great.

The hotel has a main swimming pool with a childrens pool and jaccuzi pool. There was plenty of room for everyone and the pools were wever crowded. We were disappointed with the jaccuzi pool as whilst there were signs up around it stating that no children under 14 were allowed to use it, there were pleny of them using it, including parents with very young children. No one from the hotel team, made any effort to enforce this rule. Also there are not enough sun beds for all of the guests, especially, when people reserve their sun beds early in the morning but often dont use them until later in the day. This is an area which could and should be improved upon. Another issue with the pool area is that drinks are served in glasses which is pretty dangerous.

In summary, we had a very lovely break at the hotel and we would go back but bed and breakfast only!

This hotel was fabulous from the start. We arrived quite late at night and were warmly greeted and given a glass of sparkling wine whilst we filled out our registration forms. Our suitcases were taken to our room and we were personally escorted there. The room was lovely with a great balcony with field views. The whole complex is very clean and well-kept. We were overlooking the rooms with private pools and had room envy so I asked for a room upgrade. We were given a superior maisonette with our own pool and outside area. It was absolutely fabulous. Well worth the upgrade price (which was much cheaper than booking it from the start) We enjoyed 5 fabulous days and nights in our own little paradise. The staff are lovely and will do anything to help. They ordered us a taxi to take us to the airport on out return and that was a 5-star service too. The reception staff even came out and said goodbye to us. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel. We were breakfast only so can't comment on the evening meal. Breakfast was ok, quite a bit of choice but the hot food was cold when we tried it on the first morning - so we stuck to cold food after that. We also hired a car and traveled all over the island and this hotel was a great place to come back to each day.

Just returned from a lovely week at the Nine Muses. The pool area and the communal areas are really lovely and warrant the 4 plus stars awarded by Tui. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice. The room was cleaned daily. Now the not so good - the room we were allocated was not worthy of 4 plus stars. We have stayed in 3 star accommodation which had rooms of an equivalent standard. The furniture and in particular the bathroom need refurbishment to bring it up to the advertised star rating.

Dear Madam, Since you are on vacation there is no strict code but I can describe it s smart casual. You also need to know that you do not need beach/pool towels as we provide fresh every day.
