This place was a total find. Room gorgeous, bathroom basic but functional. Pool area stunning with double bed style loungers. There are 32 rooms so no crowding. Best of all were the super friendly staff. They were the highlight of the week we spent there, couldn't do enough to help us. Aquafit in pool, a fabulous massage & chats at the poolside bar over an iced coffee - bliss. Perfectly situated near supermarkets & a stroll to Parissa beach. Superb!

We arrived with some friends in Santorini and we didn’t had any reservation made prior to arrival. We wanted to be near the beach and the beach bars so a taxi driver suggested us this property. After reading the revised lately I was in shock. I would like to mention that the property is under a new management team and renovated. Still the bathroom was a bit small but in general every has changed. The hotel now supports wellness and fitness lovers and the beach was not more than 1,5 km away approx 9 min to arrive. The team was friendly, always there to support with suggestions etc and the value for money compared to similar hotels is great. If you are visiting Santorini and you want a nice, with normal prices and friendly staff hotel that definitely you must ignore the previous reviews and give it a try!

When planning a vacation with a large family it becomes a challenge accommodating everyone requests even a 3-year-old, having the ability to travel for three weeks between Athens, Mykonos & Santorini for a wedding celebration with family meant the world to us until we arrived at Thera Mare Resort. Their website is by far breath taking so when we arrived on 9/27/19 with a family of (8) my breath was surly taken away and not from the effects of a luxurious resort as they state but shock as the pictures didn’t match the website or the accommodations. We requested our rooms to be next to each other and or joint with a door in the middle if that was available or on the same floor ( Note that this was not booked within a month, but march of 2019 ), we were told these so called superior rooms which were outdated and smelled musty where in three different buildings and from the description facing the ocean but all interior looking out to the trees two feet away from the balcony. We cancelled our reservation within three hours of arriving and are still disputing the charges from last year with bookings.com who took down my review as well as my travel agents attempt to rectify this issue, even though they state FREE cancellation on both websites (we were in person and told a full refund would be given, however we have yet to see $2k worth of accommodations). Here are the issues we encountered upon trying to check in- • Air Conditioning – aside from it shutting off when you pull out your key card in three rooms the AC was blowing hot air • Private bathroom – I am not sure where that is as we were told we had the best rooms they offer • Bed spread, pillows, towels were mismatching and seemed unsanitary • Location of resort isn’t the greatest as they list a 5min walk to the beach is more like 12mins and not the best walking trail for the kids • Not a family friendly resort Greece was amazing and recommend seeing it, however its unfortunate this occurred

In a nutshell , avoid this dump like the plague. Had the misfortune to end up here for a night due to British Airways being unable to fly us home. BA stuck us and another 50 holidaymakers here . The room is small , has mosquito's flying around and ants in the shower. The shower had no window or curtain (see photos attached ) and a hole in the wall covered with tissue. The shower was tiny and no hot water . The bed was tiny and creaked and the swimming pool has been drained. The place is totally off the beaten track, no where near a beach. I appreciate we were staying at the end of the season and that is why the pool had been drained however the hotel still needs to make an effort. We were told after 10pm the reception is not manned ? Honestly, save your money the place is an absolute dive .

The friendliest, most welcoming staff we have experienced in Greece. The hotel is elegant, clean, simple and quiet, while only 10 minutes walk from the beach life. Thanks for making us feel so welcome and doing whatever you can to meet our needs. Highly recommended!
