Because my husband and I were undertaking the "Search for Gustav Mahler," there was no option in where we had to stay - Hotel Gustav Mahler in Jihlava, Mahler's boyhood home. It was just perfect. Housed in a former Dominican Convent, the hotel reeked charm. We loved the echoing sounds down the long, Gothic-domed corridors and view into the lovely...

I was very happy with my room which was clean, spacious and comfortable. Lunch and dinner in the hotel were also decent al though breakfast was relatively basic. Good value...

We stayed for one night. Average sized and well-lit rooms in a charming, historic converted monastery. Helpful staff. Small bathrooms with minimal amenities. Spotty Wi-Fi but the rooms have wired internet. Good breakfast spread. Right down the street from the historic center of Jihlava.
