Hotels location and surroundings are fabulous.Nice room and was able to have an early check in. Disappointed with the service at the reception. There was no where near enough waitresses serving which equated to guests waiting for long periods between courses.Really felt sorry for the barman as he was on his own serving and the bar was covered completely with dirty... This was a first for my wife and I being a gift from our daughter. Our accommodation was in a very well equipped and comfortable log cabin, with all facilities, overlooking Rutland Water. Plenty of sporting activities available, both indoor and outside, and good restaurant available for those not wishing to cook in their own accommodation. Only drawback is the... More

Checked in late on a Tuesday night, warm welcome from reception who couldn't be more helpful. Lovely room, spacious, large modern bathroom, powerful shower. Good breakfast, unfortunately no poached eggs. Lunch good but not much choice on lighter options. Had to open windows in meeting rooms to let stake smell out which was a shame. Staff helpful overall.

The location and surroundings of this hotel are wonderful but our stay was very disappointing largely down to the quality of food and level of service at the wedding reception. We sat down for the wedding breakfast at 4.00pm. Service was so slow that the evening guests were arriving at 7.00pm whilst the dessert was still being served which meant... More

Stayed here as i was attending a wedding the surroundings was beautiful and the hall is a decent size and can be decorated pretty much how you want it Drinks at the venue was abt £10-£12 for two alcoholic drinks so quite pricey I stayed in an economy room whch was fine for one night although room can get stuffy... We stayed en route to Hertfordshire from Cumbria to break the long journey. Having passed Rutland Water several times, we took the opportunity to stay and enjoy the beautiful views of the lake from the hotel which lies on the edge. Our room was lovely with a balcony overlooking the lake, the bathroom was newly refurbished so was very nice... More

My neck was sore from travelling and I needed a massage. I booked a 50 minute full massage and got there early enough to enjoy the grounds and a bar lunch. The barmaid was very cheerful and pleasant and I enjoyed a nice pint of Osprey real ale that was in good condition - thanks! When I got to the... More

The hotel room was clean and spacious with fantastic views from its very own balcony. I would highly recommend this hotel. The only issue was that because it was the hottest day of the year it was hard to get the room cool even with the desktop fan provided. Great pedestrian access to Rutland water for walks and cycling among... More
