Had a great birthday at Hanmer Springs and because husband thinks it is not safe to drive home when tired from all the swimming, my family spent a night at this place. Very affordable. Bedrooms were neat and linens smell fresh and clean. Large communal kitchen was very homely. Bang on for your money. Just as everything was joyous, our... More

Very clean rooms, free wifi, wonderful and neat facilities and all around great value! This place is run by a genuinely friendly couple (Brent & Kara). The communal kitchen was clean and the lounge area is family friendly with toys for the kids. This is "THE PLACE TO BE" if you want to be within close proximity to the adventure... More

What a find! This motor camp provides everything you could wish for a traditional family holiday. Very cute bunkrooms, wonderfully equipped kitchen and living spaces. Super clean and recently re-carpeted throughout. Perfect for families as there is a great playground and also toys/games/books inside. Our kids (age 8, 6 and 7 months) had a ball and made many friends. The... More

A really nice, clean and friendly motor camp with very good facilities . Quiet and well run. Another South Island gem and a great place to stay. The owners are new and obviously committed to customer satisfaction.

Excellent place to stay, especially for nature lovers. Very peaceful, very quiet and extremely beautiful. Me and my husband stayed at unpowered site. The owners were very kind and friendly. Great kitchen and dining room, clean bathrooms. Nice and cozy town. Hope to return. Sorry for the late review!

We have stayed at the Waiau Motor Camp for the last three to four years. What a great camp! Friendly owner/operators Don and Linda. Nothing is a bother. Always have great suggestions on what to do around the local area. Large sites and good amenities. It is one of the best camping grounds we have stayed in not too big.... More

We stayed at a powered site in our camper trailer for 4 nights in February. Don and Linda (hosts) are extremely friendly and helpful, and the facilities are kept spotless. There are 2 ladies shower/toilet rooms, and we feel that if, at a busy time, both showers are being used then the ladies toilets are not able to be used.... More

We stayed at the powered campsite in our campervan for 1 night. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and their pet dog loves to play catch. Talk to the owner while taking a walk around and entertain his pet dog by throwing tennis ball for it to fetch.
