The owner was very good, offered good advice but didn't disturb you too often at all. The ensuite studio was a bit rundown and the cleanliness wasn't up to our standards. But free parking, free and decent wifi and a good rate on the room made it a good place for a short stay.

We stayed in the motel as part of a sports group. The room although very basic was more than adequate for our needs and tea and coffee making facilities plus a toaster were provided. The unit was clean and the staff more than helpful in ensuring we had a pleasant stay. We would use them again

I stayed here as part of a group. It was very reasonably priced. I stayed in Unit 1. It was spacious and adequate. These are considerably dated units. At first, I thought the beds would not be good- they were old and creaky. But mine was actually very comfortable. My biggest gripe was that the shower had very low pressure,... More

The Large Studio we ( myself, wife, son 13 and daughter 11) booked into was quite good having all the basics we would like to have when on a trip. Sky TV, free wifi, microwave, heater, electric blankets, sink, cutlery crockery sufficient for 4 of us, even-though a small stove or hotplate being included would have been good. It was... More

Beautiful old two storied house with a lovely garden and trees out front office is in the house where there are rooms as well we had a unit and on driving round back and entering room thought these are old and dated but not dated all together and it has had a paint and new carpet which lifts it a... We stayed here for 2 nights in motel unit 2. The building and fittings are older and its basic but the unit was very clean and warm, plenty of cups, plates etc. It is certainly well placed for walking into town without being too close. Free Wi-Fi was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. There did seem to be a... More

Had the worse experience at this hotel, room and bed linen were old and smelt damp. We booked 2 months in advanced, didn't get confirmation till 1 week before our arrival. We arrived and found they stuck us in this awful back packers room. It was dirty and smelly old linen everything was old. The odour in this room was... More

The final view is "medium" because the young lady at the reception desk was very kind with us and because, for the first time I have found a real free wifi without any limit. To be honest with the further guest I must say that the apartments are very basic and hold. Good for few days and not for long... More

This is a relatively good, tidy, budget accommodation in Masterton in a pleasant setting. Its a bit out of the way compared to other motels. Service was a little on the minimalist side as reception doesn't seem to open before 8am and the internal phone to reception either doesn't work or was unmanned the two times I tried. The Internet... Really great facilities and staff, rooms are clean and tidy with adequate bedding and heating in the rooms. Communal bathing and toilets could have done with a bit more care otherwise functional. There is another place in Masterton that is a "backpackers" if you really want to see cheap and nasty and disgusting facilities this is not THAT place. Money... More
