We chose this place simply because it was approx half way between Wellington Ferry and Napier and it turned out to be a good choice. Even though we were staying just the one night the hosts were very welcoming and it was a fascinating house to stay in. Like something from another era but very well appointed and comfortable. Recommended.

What an amazing experience! Wonderful grounds, atmosphere and superb hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. I cannot think of a more delightful setting for a wedding. Our family and friends came from around the world and NZ and were uniform in their praise. Thank you!

We stayed at Llandaff over the weekend, as part of a bridal party who had booked the entire B&B. From the moment we arrived, Robin and Elizabeth looked after our every need including ironing bridesmaids dresses, accommodating last-minute breakfast arrangements and also making breakfast at 6.30am for the early travellers. The rooms were extremely clean, spacious, well-appointed and cozy. There...

We had high hopes for this place and were not disappointed at all. Elizabeth and Robin are dedicated to giving you the full experience of their wonderful home, with its history, their furniture and interesting collections. Then outdoors - numerous 'sheds' with more collections, and their beautiful grounds with lovely little walks and where you'll see pheasants, doves, and alpacas....

This is the place to stay when in Masterton. Went for the balloon festival and stayed here. The place is absolutely beautiful. The owners will bend over backwards for you and I have never had a better time. You must come here when touring in New Zealand.

Just recently Margaret and I selected Llandaff bed and breakfast to stay at while travelling through the lower North Island. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival with the home and grounds at the end of the long driveway. Elizabeth was their to greet us, offering eats and drinks on arrival. We enjoyed a great night's sleep and the breakfast the...

My husband and I had one night staying at this superb establishment and can highly recommend to future NZ travellers. The attention to detail is first class but what is so lovely is the warmth and engagement of the hosts, a smile and cup of tea after a day of travelling and sightseeing just the tonic. One night is not...

A lovely old house full of character with beautiful gardens and paddocks of sheep, alpaca and deer just on the outskirts of Masterton. Robin and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts and we were sorry to only stay one night.

A truly magnificent experience at the Llandaff Country Retreat. Robin and Elizabeth were amazing hosts, very kind and friendly. Their attention to detail was evident throughout our stay, from the delicious breakfast right through to the luring of the golden pheasant to the front lawn, just so we could see it. Will definitely be returning to Llandaff - but next...
