We stayed for two nights. We were happily welcomed by Lynn upon our arrival. The space was warm, inviting and spotless. We chatted with Murray for a bit the next day about the weather we were having. It was a rainy few days and roads were closed. On the day we were supposed to leave, Lynn offered to put us up at another property as the B& B was fully booked! We politely declined, but couldn’t help but feel that these folks would go out of their way to help us out, if need be. Really great people!
Lynn and Murray are the most hospitable welcoming hosts you could hope for. A beautiful house and garden just a short few minutes walk down to the beach and cafe/bar. Each day we were treated to amazing home baking and we had a continental breakfast in our private lounge area consisting of cereals, toast and homemade jams etc. The linen, towels and bed were all top quality and very comfortable Lynn and Murray are more than happy to help out with ideas of things to do in the area and we were very lucky to have spotted two yellow eyed penguins one evening at Roaring Meg Bay down the road. We also saw the sea lions at Nugget Point and visited the Cathedral Caves as well as all the local waterfalls. A top place to base yourselves for exploring the Caitlins Area
We stayed here as a family of four for a night in September 2018. I'm so happy we stayed here. We were welcomed like family by Lyn and Murray when we arrived. The place is so well cared for, very comfortable with little luxury touches. Home made jams, baked tasty loaf and fresh juice waiting in the cosy lounge for you. Best power shower ever. Super comfortable beds. A really great place to stay as a family for many reasons but especially relaxing for the children to have a quiet separate bedroom (with ensuite) tucked away from the lounge area where we could sit and chat in the evening. Highly recommend staying here.
We had a wonderful stay at Kenthurst! Heather and John were great hosts and very welcoming. Heather planned a few activities for us including the penguin viewing, which was the highlight of our Catlins experience. This is one of the best B&Bs we have stayed at. We stayed two nights and would recommend Kenthurst to all fellow travelers (and stay two nights!).
We had one night with Heather and John. When we left we felt we had been staying there for several days. We were made so welcome. The home is modern with views to the north. The gardens are a delight. It is a short walk to the beach and the pub. Every amenity was available. We had a good nights sleep. Would I return. A very definite yes !
