We spent two nights at TUI Lodge. We had a large dark room with no fridge and no TV : everything was in a common room, so you had to get dressed to watch TV. therefore we didn't. We asked the owner if we could borrow a guide book for the day but we were told that "people usually keep... More

We are sorry there was a misunderstanding regarding borrowing a guide book. I suspect the book was a library book and not replaceable. We have a lot of free information available on the table for guests to take. The discussion re financial was only an opinion on the current common market situation. (I guess we may have difference of opinion... More

Tui Lodge was billed as a "purpose built" B&B and I wasn't sure what this meant as this is not a term normally used in the U.S. Basically, in U.S. terminology, it means a custom built house specifically to function as a B&B. The result is rooms that are supremely comfortable, well insulated and therefore quiet, with large en suite bathrooms,... More

We had booked 2 rooms for 3 nights, and both were very spacious and tastefully furnished. They had each a big bathroom and private extern access. The location was perfect for us as it was wonderfully quiet in a small street with a beautiful large garden. Supermarket and some restaurants were in easy walking distance. The short distance to Tongariro... More

Frances and Ian let us into their beatiful home for our 3 nights in late May. Hospitality was boundless. Thank you both. We had stayed in Turangi elsewhere twice before, but researched and decided to stay here at Tui Lodge so that Kim could have a day fly fishing with Ian and us both relax in the house of the... More

Ian and Francis were great hosts at this beautiful B&B! My husband did some fishing and we also did some fantastic hikes together! Francis and Ian went out of there way to accommodate us! Francis made a cooked to order breakfast each morning and we had some nice appetizers each night. Many things came fresh from the garden! Each room... More

We have just spent two nights at Tui Lodge. Our primary reason for choosing it was that we wanted to go fly fishing near Turangi and Ian is a very experienced and knowledgeable fishing guide. But staying at Tui Lodge was a wonderful experience in and of itself. Our room was lovely, with a very comfortable king bed and modern... More

I had a 3 night stay at Tui Lodge last week - just loved it all. comfortable bed, powerful shower, outlook to a lovely spring garden and hearing the Tui's singing most of the day. Breakfast of fresh and stewed fruit from the garden was super. Hadn't ever put salt in the rhubarb while cooking - gosh it was so... More

Tui Lodge exceeded all our expectations and some. Accommodation is spacious and very clean and the proprietors Ian and Frances make you feel very welcome and really do their best to ensure you get the most from your stay in the area. Breakfast is something else particularly if you like Rhubarb. Lots of fresh fruit mainly from the garden. Also... More

I had the pleasure of staying with Ian and Francis for two days with my family over the holiday period. The rooms are immaculate with beautiful on suite showers. Ian and Francis are wonderful hosts not only do they do the best breakfast we have had in the Southern Hemisphere (most of which is grown in their garden) but they... More

We stayed at Tui Lodge for three days, hosts Ian & Francis were fantastic, loved the home cooked breakfast with fresh fruit & rhubarb straight from the garden. 5 star accommodation & service at a fraction of the price you would expect to pay. Great value ! Ian runs guided trout fishing tours & supplies all the good gear for... More
