Sailrock was an absolutely magical setting for our private (just the two of us!) sunset beach wedding and week-long honeymoon. Tikiera and the entire Sailrock staff made our special day absolutely perfect! The Wedding My husband and I knew we wanted a small wedding, and when he told me "I don't know why anyone would get married anywhere but an island", I thought.... "I can work with that." I researched many destination options and fell in love with Sailrock for its stunning photos, great reviews, and remote location on South Caicos. We chose early December for our stay, after hurricane season and before tourism picks up for the holidays. When we reached out to Sailrock to inquire about holding our private ceremony, we were connected with Tikiera, who handled all of the wedding details. Tikiera made planning the wedding stress-free and easy... we basically just had to show up! Sailrock has a fantastic wedding package that included coordination of everything we needed. Tikeria really took the time to get to know my husband and I so that she could design the perfect beach ceremony. She helped us coordinate with local vendors for hair/make-up (Sheque Perfection), photography (Paradise Photography), and flowers, and arranged the perfect officiant for our ceremony, Reverend John Malcom. On the day of the ceremony, Tikiera and Lenny were there to help with absolutely everything we needed. We started with a private breakfast in our villa and peaceful beach walk. Vendors started arriving at our villa around noon. Shenique did a phenomenal job on my hair and makeup, and Christine, our photographer, was an absolute pleasure to work with (the photos were amazing!). Our private sunset ceremony was on the far end of the beach that hosts the Cove Restaurant. At the time of our stay, the Cove was only open for lunch most days so we had the entire beach to ourselves. After our ceremony, we had a romantic, coursed dinner under the Cove's gazebo overlooking the water, complete with a chocolate wedding cake. The Resort Sailrock is situated on the north end of South Caicos, with breathtaking views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the protected Caicos Banks. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the amenities are top notch. Sailrock was opened a few years prior to our stay, so everything was quite new and modern. The resort is still expanding/building out some amenities (e.g. tennis courts). The villa we stayed in was absolutely over the top, exceeding expectations in every way. The dual master bedrooms each featured an outdoor shower and tub, and sliders opening to views of the Atlantic ocean. The villa also featured a private pool and lounge area, and large open living room/kitchen -- perfect for pre-wedding photographs and post-wedding lounging. The resort has two beaches, one long white sand beach on the Atlantic side and a beach alongside the Cove restaurant on the protected west side of the island. We loved long walks/runs on the Atlantic beach in the mornings, then cruising over to the Cove for lunch or to take out a hobie cat to explore the bay. We dined at the Great House Restaurant for breakfast and dinner most days (when we weren't off property). For dinner, I highly recommend trying the conch chowder, boil fish, and seafood risotto. With 10 days, we also spent a lot of time exploring the island -- see my review on South Caicos for recommendations. South Caicos was the perfect destination for our wedding and active, island adventure/honeymoon!

Wow I don’t know where to begin describing my experience at Sailrock - I felt compelled to write a review even though what I will say echoes what countless people have reviewed before me. This was an EXCEPTIONAL resort and one where my future vacations will have a hard time beating. First, the staff made the experience unbeatable. This is a phenomenal crew! You will feel taken care of every day from the welcome from Juni (she really does remember everyone’s names!) to smiles from Pema at breakfast to jokes at the cove with Ben to mixology classes every single day with the ever patient and kind Lalu to laughs with Earl at dinner. I’m shocked that Sailrock brought all of these shining people together under one roof - they all had such distinctive and fun personalities and made leaving very regrettable for us. Second, this is a secluded resort and literally felt like paradise. It was artfully built with the great house located in a perfect place that allowed us to catch the sunrise and sunset every day. I loved that the cove bay had at most 20 people there at any time which really added to the peace and quiet we needed. The resort also provided a lot of beach equipment. Every morning we would start with a paddle board session out to the cove. The waters are so clear and the cove shallow so you never felt endangered if you happen to go out too far. The staff also looked out vigilantly so if you haven’t come back in a while, they will come and check on you. Third, the food is incredible. You MUST go to the bbq bonfire. The drinks were so delicious and every one hit the spot (not too sweet). We were excited for every meal. I’m not typically a beach vacation person as I like to be active on my vacations. This was the first beach vacation where I was able to fully relax (I read a book a day!) and not feel bored in the process. I must come back to this resort just to see the staff alone (and before people find out about it!). Kudos to the team!

We decided a week before traveling to the TCI to stay at Sailrock for our honeymoon. I was leary about the island hop because of the unfamiliar travel territory and remoteness that I read about in reviews, but let me tell you, it was the easiest way to travel and best part of our honeymoon. I found a really good deal to stay in their ridgetop suites which includes the island hop flight from Providenciales (Provo) to South Caicos. The resort books your inter-island flight as well as free daily breakfast. My communications with the resort were via phone and email. When we first flew into Provo, we stayed one night before decided to flight to South Caicos. While there's not much to do once arriving at the Provo airport, I thought it would've better to stay at the airport to head to South Caicos because the flight is literally 20 minutes from take off to touch down. PLUS, the cab fares are extremely high, $40/pp r/t including tip, more or less anywhere you go. Anywho, when we arrived back to the Provo airport, we were greeted by a Sailrock rep. who checked us into our flight and was very nice. The airport is relatively small. While this is not needed, it's an extra perk for staying at Sailrock. The only thing to do at this airport is hang out in the only restaurant available which is not much. When you go through security, it's a small waiting room with uncomfortable chairs so there's no need to get to the airport super early although they recommend it because security is all manual and there's only 1 security line. Again, it was all a super easy transaction. I was scared for our flight because of the tiny plane, but it was the smoothest flight that I've ever been on and the scenery is gorgeous. Once we arrived in South Caicos, the resort picks each guest up in their own private jeep and bottled water is provided, actually, your enter stay so you'll never go thirsty. There are no taxis on South Caicos so it makes sense that the resort coordinates all your travel. We stayed four nights, and for us, I feel like was the perfect amount of time. We didn't do much at the resort except a guided ATV tour (the website says they offer unguided ATVs, but they no longer offer it.) Honestly, our tour guide Ben was so great, genuine, and informative, that I feel like a guide is the best way to go. We took advantage of the hobie cat and kayaks. By the time we wanted to use the paddle boards in our trip, it was too windy. IF you want to do more at the resort, I could definitely see staying there longer. But if you're just going to lay out by the pool and beach and not really leave the resort, then 4 nights is probably fine. However, if you have a private pool, I would've def. stayed longer. Also, I regret not doing a snorkeling trip because I heard from other guests that they saw more marine life. There wasn't really much marine life to see during our stay. Also, even though the weather was between 75-80 the whole time, during the cloudy, windy days, the water temperature was really chilly to get in and get used to. Breakfast and dinner are served in the same restaurant. Food overall during our stay was between a 3.8-5 depending on the type of food. The restaurant is very accommodating with requests provided they have the availability. Our suite had views of both sides of the island. The first few nights, the Atlantic side was VERY windy, but the other side was gorgeously calm. The cove side of the island always had less than 15 people on the beach which was nice. The only annoying thing is that sometimes their island music was obnoxiously loud and repetitive. But I feel like if I said something, they would've lowered it, changed it, or turned it off in general. Also, while you can walk over to either side of the island, the cove is a dusty walk and they provide rides to/from the resort. There was never anyone in the pool area when we were there, guests or staff, but the pool is rather cold and I never fully went in. The small hot tub isn't really warm either. Another thing that was gorgeous were the stars! They were so bright and close; it was a shame that they didn't offer the telescopes mentioned on their website. One thing I can say about this resort is that they always say yes. All the staff is nice. Some are more personable than others. We had a few small room issues upon our arrival, but as soon as we spoke to the reception desk about it, the balance of our trip was delightful. I really feel like they care about what we have to say. If you're looking for a small community, quiet environment, and not the hustle and bustle of the city (Provo), then this is the place for you. Everything is very calm and not a party scene, but I'm sure if that's what you want, you can. I dream about the next time we get to visit again and didn't want to write a review because I want to keep this secret paradise to myself.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Sailrock for a long weekend and Valentine's Day. Our villa was immaculate, super private, and very comfortable. Everyone who worked there was friendly, helpful, and genuine. The views are unbeatable and you can really enjoy everything the resort and island of South Caicos can offer. Not only is Sailrock private, it's also SO peaceful! I don't think we ever saw more than 15 people on the beach at one time. It felt like our own personal paradise. Before we arrived, we were given plenty of information on what to expect, various activities we could do, and a schedule of everything we could potentially do. We definitely recommend doing an ATV tour. Ben was so nice and knowledgable about the island! We got to explore and see pristine, untouched nature north of the resort. It was breathtaking.. and FUN! Juni was so helpful in planning our activities and was such a sweetheart! By the time we left we felt like family, and we were only there for four nights! Also, the food and drinks were absolutely delicious, which is important. Overall we had a 10/10 stay. The only bad part was leaving!!
