This place is one of the oldiest Inn in Scotland, settled in the wonderful Glencoe. Warm atmosphere, beautiful rooms with all comforts, very good meal. One visit is not enough, al all. We were here for two nights, 21th and 22nd of January, the weather was freexing and cold, lots of snow. We founded deers on the outside of the... More

Food was okay. Conveniently located at the end of the grueling walk (20 miles!!) The hotel itself is dated and the food was so-so. Stairs up to the rooms weren't that welcoming after walking for 20 miles but we didn't have a lot of choice.

A wonderful 5 days in this idyllic Highland hotel - perhaps the friendliest in Britain? Great food, great atmosphere, great staff - as ever. Such character in the hotel, with a mix of period fittings that evoke Sherlock Holmes film sets. Warm fires to sit by, a superb residents' lounge with what's been voted one of the ten best views... We have stopped off here many times for something to eat, but always wanted to stay a night. We were not dissapointed, we loved our stay, the staff were so friendly and helpful, the food as always was great. Great for walks from a gentle stroll to more serious climbing, and even though a storm hit through the night, it... More

OK don't come here expecting luxury. Don't get me wrong, they have done some amazing renos since I was last year 15+ years ago. It still has its quirky touches which is great but now it is dry and warm. The linen and beds are a welcome touch, food is really good for an out there hotel. Great whisky and... More

Ok. So most people aren't staying here for the hotel facilities or Michelin star dining. You're here for the breathtaking scenery or a West Highland Way stop. What you will get is a adequate room and shared bathroom, a good menu for meals, a friendly bar, a good hearty cooked breakfast and very accommodating staff. The decor is almost retro... More

We made our pilgrimage to Glencoe like all good tourists. By the time we got there, we were hungry and thirsty. Our friend and guide knew just where to go. Kings House Hotel. There were two entrances. One for regular folk and one for trekkers\backpackers. Once inside I could see how it's an old place, polished wood, very nice with... More

I LOVE the King-House off season. I was there for one night in December and it was so so cosy. Some guests just don't realize how Lucky they are to be able to stay in this wonderful place. I come from Glasgow regularly to escape the noise and to find peace. Thanks to all in the hotel. They always make... More

If you have done the WHW then will have certainly came across this place. The hotel itself is very cosy and its even pretty welcoming to campers and walkers alike. The bars are all very homely and the food is great. Atmosphere can get a little excited but thats what you want when theres not exactly a ton of entertainment... More

We stayed off season and had a great experience in the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was perfect after a long hike across Rannoch Moor. The location is second to none. I understand this is busy in the summer, but at this time of year it was perfect. The view out of the bedroom... More
