My son and I had dinner in the Climbers Bar and were very disappointed with the quality of the food, particularly as it was quite expensive. My meal was edible but very basic for what I'd paid. My son ordered pasta, which was basically a bit of pasta with a can of tomatoes mixed in. This cost around £9. He... More

The rooms are basic good value and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, but it's the magnificent setting on the edge of Rannoch Moor, standing in splendid isolation at the entrance to Glencoe which makes a stay at this hotel so enjoyable. The tame deer grazing just outside the hotel just add to the atmosphere. It's a must for anyone doing the... More

We stayed here when walking the West Highland Way. We arrived early but received a very warm welcome & were able to check in early as soon as the room was ready. All staff friendly & helpful. Washing & drying facilities available & drying room for wet boots. Lovely lounges & bars with character. Rooms very comfortable. Magnificent setting. We... More

The hotel is located in a very nice area with lots of things to do and see around. It aims mostly at a crowd of hikers and climbers but is also suitable for other touists. Rooms are small and bathroom facilities are shared, but there are cosy common rooms and two nice pub-like bars to have food. Beware of the... More

Lovely walkers bar where dogs are welcome and you can get a bite to eat. Kids menu. Delicious reasonable priced food. Lovely walking around the area free camping for the west highland way walkers. Plenty of parking. Wear midge repellant! There is also another restaurant where you can eat in a little bit of luxury without a dog.

We stayed here after our epic day 5 32km walk on the West Highland Way and it was a great end to the day. There is not much choice at this location but it was worth the extra price to stay in such an iconic place. The rooms are a little tired now ( like most of the occupants) but... More

Hassle free check in. Reasonably sized double room with ensuite. Ate in the bar - quick service, cracking steak and ale pie and gammon, hearty portions that represented excellent VFM. The rocky road cake was to die for too. Wifi available but only in the bar, exactly as they promised, although we are on the '3' network and that was... More

The hotel provides everything a tired and drenched group of walkers needs: a large drying room, comfortable rooms nicely heated, hot water, good beds, good food and drink, and a warm welcome from the staff. At the end of the evening - as the sun appeared between the clouds to illuminate the glen - there was a visit by a... More

This is the only option at this point along the west highland way to save a detour in to Glencoe. The hotel itself is tired and lacks basic facilities you would expect for the price. The drying room wasn't working, which was disappointing as we were drenched on arrival and had to start the next day in wet gear. The... More

Unfortunately, we had a lot of rain during out stay at Kings House. I think that lost the wow factor for us. We couldn't see the great views or feed the deer. The room we had was very dated but everything was working. The bed was comfortable, but the walls are paper thin. I could here the person in the... More
