We arrived wet and cold on motorbikes. We were checked in by very friendly staff. We were delighted to find they have a drying room for all of our wet gear. I guess they have a lot of hikers stay here as it's right on the trails. It is quite expensive and I had to pay in full when I... More

"Detour and have lunch at the King's House in Glencoe". After passing the The Three Sisters we were no more than two hours from Oban and the vastness of the Highlands was revealed. It was glorious in scudding rain and bright sun and the last thing we expected in all the emptiness was the vision of a small glade of... More

We were recommended to stay here on our drive up to Isle of Skye because of the great atmosphere and location and it did not disappoint. They had their own resident deer which was a bonus. Food and drinks were great and a reasonable price. Room was clean and comfortable. Even though we booked over six months in advance we... More

There's not much choice when you are walking the Great Highland Way but even if we had choice we would still stay at Kings House. One of the best little pubs we have stayed in. From the moment we arrived the reception was superb. Could not have been more informative or helpful. This went on through our stay. The team... More

On a recent trip to Glencoe we enjoyed a couple of short trips to the walker's bar of the Kings House Hotel. Accessed at the rear of the building, it is a small bar that offers great beers and what looks like a good selection of bar food. Walkers and cyclists streamed in and out continuously for refreshment before continuing... More

We managed to book the last available rooms on the day we wanted whilst walking the West Highland Way, so ended up with two singles. Despite this, the stay was very enjoyable. The staff did their utmost to help by ensuring we had adjacent rooms. The atmosphere in the climbers bar was warm and friendly and the views were fantastic.... More

An earthy hotel in Scotland's most isolated wild area of absolute beauty! Food was incredible!!! Especially the huge variety of breakfasts. I had the amazing kippers after porridge with honey. Simply fab food and music in the evening. Definitely a must if your in the area!

Great views in a fab location with lots of deer roaming around the hotel (take some cornflakes from breakfast to feed them)! Lovely place to have a pint after a long day walking. Bar staff were really friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is dated and overpriced but the beds are really comfy. Evening meal was ok but the breakfast... More

I couldn't spend my money for lack of trying! No food served in any of the bars or restaurants after 9 at the busiest time of year? Poor sanitation facilities. No outdoor facilities for campers. Staff were rude & really not interested. Avoid if doing the WHW and camp elsewhere! We're it not for one barman making an effort for... More
