Staying at 0.5km away Alcaufar was a pretty evening walk for us. When it was too choppy to swim at S'Algar we swam in Alcaufar harbour where there are lots of sturdy aluminium ladders just for this purpose. Due to the long narrow shape of the harbour it is very calm and warm for September swims as any waves dissipate... More

Stayed for two nights at this very charming rural (country) hotel and loved it. The room was very nice (double superior) and food was great (especially breakfast). Super friendly staff on top makes this hotel a barging for the price..

Everything I could say about this hotel would be in superlatives, this place is really amazing, offering a great, relaxing stay. I stayed 5 nights and every night had dinner in the hotel restaurant that serves fantastic food. The surroundings of this hotel are beautiful, you can have some really enjoyable walks. Staff is incredibly helpful. Make sure you try... More

Such a lovely friendly hotel. Excellent food. Really interesting historic building.... And roaming tortoises. Thoroughly recommend a visit. Hotel is a convenient distance from the airport and Mahon, yet far enough away as to not notice it. Lovely coastal walks and a short walk to a gentle family friendly beach .

Stumbled across this very special place - lots of nationalities coming and going whilst we stayed for a week. Lots of regular visitors - some having been comnping for years. Possibly the best breakfasts I've ever experienced - all homemade on the premises. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.

This is a great example of understated luxury. We had a very large suite on the second floor of the main building. There was even a large ante room before our suite. Luxury - beautiful antique furniture, enormous soaking tub, views of the gardens and the fields facing west. Friendly and thoughtful restaurant and hotel staff - relaxed but top... More

Incredible setting, amazing food and beautiful bedrooms...all is great except that for an international traveller, the service is not at the level of a hotel/restaurant of the standing you are expecting. I have travelled around the world to amazing places and I can tell you they will have to review their attitude as the management has a serious problem. We... More

I stayed here with my boyfriend the other week and I cannot fault a thing. It is PERFECT for a couples get away. We booked a double room with a terrace and it was 5 star all the way. The staff bend over backwards for you. Nothing is too much. The jacuzzi baths were amazing. Definitely big enough for 2... More

We had a superior double room in one of the converted outbuildings. It was very spacious with a huge double bed. The bathroom was also spacious and the toiletries were regularly topped up by the excellent cleaning staff. Our bed linen was changed frequently and the towels daily. The room also had fresh flowers and candles which were a particular... More

This hotel has the potential to be one of the greats but a lack of attention to the fine detail lets it down. Set up on a high point south-east of San Lluis, the main house is a large and imposing stone building the central core of which used to be a watch tower. This is where you find many... More
