We stayed 5 nights in a recent renovated appartment and had a lovely stay. The appartment was big, with a livingroom of good size with an open kitchen and big fridge. Big terrace with a nice view on the nature park of Strunjan and the saltfields. Modern bathroom and 1 bedroom. It was very clean and tastefull decorated. Airco worked very good and wifi too was good. The hotel has a large garden with swimmingpool. For towels, parasols and loungers, you have to pay extra. The same for the beach. Location is excellent for visiting the coast region. You are at the sea and from the beach, there is a nice view at Piran and you can see nice sunsets. There is no supermarket near the hotel, but the buffet diner is well priced and offers everything you need, 2 sorts of soup, a lot of vegetables and salads, choice of different fish and meat plates, a lot of different fruits, ice, sweet desserts and so on. It is nice to eat on the terrace with garden view. People working at the hotel are very kindly. If you like walking, there are some very nice roundwalks in the coast region that are good indicated and easy to follow. For public transport, the busstop of Strunjan is about 1 km from the hotel, a short walk along the sea.…
Apartments Salinera. What can I say. They rob you for 120 € per night !!!! If it weren't for the vouchers, I wouldn't pay even € 50 for what they offer. Dilapidated, outdated, surroundings untidy. They have not invested anything in the surroundings and the apartments, in my opinion, since they were built. All overgrown, a bunch of weeds around ....
We were staying in apartments (part of Hotel Salinera complex). Apartments are overpriced for what they are offering. I recommend to update and renovate a bathroom and invest more in cleanliness of apartments. Otherwise the location is great and the staff is nice.
if you are looking for a hotel surrounded by nature, very peaceful and quiet, with great views and a lot of trekking/walking opportunities, this is a place to choose! We spent our christmas there and were amazed every single day by the beuty of the Slovenian coast. We were lucky enough to even see the Alps (on Slovenian as well as on the Italian side of the border), together with Slovenian's highest peak and national symbol-Triglav. Hotel itself is rather small, but the rooms are comfortable and clean, the food is good and the staff (especially Mrs. Adriana at the reception, she really makes you feel welcome). There is an inside pool, big enough for some swimming after a long walk. We also tried a relaxing massage in the Spa and found it very good, Mr.Kristijan does a good job!! As it was my husband's birthday, he got a nice best wishes card with a bottle of wine, which was a very nice touch, not often experienced in other hotels! As there are so many walking opportunities and as there is a bus stop with excellent connections with other Slovenian coastal towns, about 700m away from the hotel, there is really no need to drive anywhere at all! But: if you are looking for a party, you might consider another hotel in nearby Portorož. Hotel is also welcoming cyclists, but if you didn't bring your own 2 wheels, you can rent one at the hotel and explore the region- you won't be disappointed!! My husband and I will deffinately return to Hotel salinera in a very near future!…
First of all, the nice things: the surroundings of the hotel are wonderful with many walking paths, close to the beach and quiet neighborhood. Regarding the hotel: staff very reserved, waitresses in the restaurant uncoordinated (one evening they say that the bill cannot be put on the room, next evening that only on the room), medium quality food (under-baked eggs, dried french fries), hotel maid came to the room without knocking. The room itself is spacious and clean. Given that I had a birthday, they could at least congratulate me.
Nice hotel near the sea. Food was nothing special just an average breakfast and dinner. Hotel inner pool with sea/salty water. Stuff are really nice and polite. Hotel rooms are good as well. Overall - nice vacation for the weekend.
We arrived on a hot day, the cooling did not pass, And the hotel said it would be activated only after a week.It is a pathetic and contemptuous reference to guests who pay good money. Breakfast was really not tasty, and we did not eat or drink anything. We certainly will not go back to this hotel.
I am coming to Salinera every year once or twice, mostly for Easter and around the 1st of May, as I don't like Summer heath. They offer the swimming-pool with warm sea water and different treatmants. Their rooms are good, clean and comfortable; I always get one with balcony and the view of park and the sea. The food is very good and different. The staff at the reception very kind, especially Mrs. Admira, who is always doing my booking, and Mrs. Jadranka. I am always taking the glass of wine with my dinner, which I pay, of course.Last time I liked to have also a glass of water with ice. I couldn't get normal, drinking water, they offered to me the water in bottle only, which is more expensive than a glass of wine. I can't undestand how it is possible. You get water with coffee, but not with wine. I could understand, that in the hotel restaurant they don't give you a glass of water free of cahrge, if you order nothing else, but if you order a drink, you should have it. In Hotel Dubrava (Opatija) also 4 stars - they offer to their guests free water and tea with the dinner, if someone doesn't want to spend money for another drink.…
Not far from Koper and Portorož is place Strunjan. Its natural resort with beach and hotels , apartments. Hotel has open and closed swiming pool. Very beautifull apartments with parking places. Peacfull place with nice beach. Also tried bioenergy park.
The apartment offered by the property: gloomy, dark, no balcony, no wi-fi totally different from what was advertised on another booking site. The ladies mentioned above especially Ms Admira went beyond her duties and found us a compromise for the kind of apartment we were looking for. I paid an overcharge for the upgrade, but still with a discount, so it was a fair deal. The Resort has bad apartments which IMO you should avoid (the **apt) then there are the *** apt and the villas. There are no big shops around and the closest is around 5km. However the swimming pool and stoney sea, the free parking and shades almost make up for it
