We asked for water at lunch and they didnt want to serve it to us, saying "we don't serve only water". Even though we ordered bevereged in all the meals so far. Also room was outdated and not close to what was shown on website. Location is really nice. And everything was clean.
This hotel is not really a 4 star facility (according to the present-day Central European standards), but a decent 3 star one. Therefore, the main negative trait of this hotel lies in disproportionately high prices compared to the offered quality. The rooms are good, the building is average, the spa center small and slightly outdated, the selection and quality of food not adequate, the staff is generally polite. An important positive aspects are the nearby beach and surroundings as a part of the natural reserve of Strunjan.
First of all, this hotel is not close to 4*. The room was simple, the breakfast poor, and even the food they proposed quickly came to an end and nothing left. Once we took a dinner - it was a disaster. The SPA is outdated and small, not clean. You have to pay a lot for the sauna section and get half dozen of small cabins with one cold jacuzzi - no special treatment. Most of the clients are elderly people with health problems; others are couples with toddlers who entered the same (single) pool - crying, screaming and pissing to the water. The seashore near the hotel is with boulders, not good for bathing.
I was aware of what kind of a hotel I am heading to as it was primarily trip for my elderly parents. As they stayed in hotel Svoboda before it was a no brainier. Hotel does have all advertised amenities but was disappointed on the poor upkeep of the rooms. Paint should not be pealing of the walls nor should bath screen be rusty or bathroom cabinet doors be falling of the hinges. Even though restaurant does offer self service, which I consider a plus, it does nor offer “healthy choices”, food offered is “generic” not befitting a 4star. Having stayed in Terme Krka hotels before I was surprised that it is not to a standard of other company’s hotels. Staffs is nice but cleaning at 7.30 is not something one is looking for during vacation/time off. Will probably choose other offers for autumnal break next time.…
We spent two nights when taking diving lessons in the nearby town. I believe that in our 30ies we were the youngest guests. 90% of them are eldery people with crutches, so sometimes it feels more like a hospital than a hotel. The positive aspect of this is peace and quiet during the night (but don't expect to sleep long, they get up with the sunrise and the cleaning starts at like 7.30). As a hotel it's nice, but quite basic. The room was small, but ok, the safe literally fell apart when I tried to open it. We only had breakfast which was ok, but nothing special. The fitness is available for guests only after 4pm because earlier it is occupied with some medical treatments (see above). There is a lovely little library. After reading good reviews I was disappointed with the poll area - average at most. The staff is ok, but there was one grumpy waiter at the bar whom I asked which tastes of water could I order. He got annoyed saying like he didn't know what he had available and that I would get what I would get - excuse me? I also overheard a conversation of the kitchen staff making fun of one guest. We paid almost 400 EUR for two BB in a most basic room, so the cost/value ratio was not good at all. Not returning.…
The hotel is located in a convenient area close to many places of interest. Excellent ambience at the hotel, staff very kind and ready to help on any request. Nice swimmingpool with heated sea water. Large rooms well equipped.
Svoboda means freedom, and this is what one feels while staying at this hotel. The staff is very pleasant and kind, the amenities are very good, and the location is great. You'll find great selection of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner! They should add milk alternatives (rice, soy). The pool is thermal with salt water - great for physical rehabilitation.
In my opinion this is by far one of the best places to be in the Slovenian coast. You can stay at the Hotel Svoboda or at the small Villas that they also have. I have been visiting this place since I was 3 years old and I still love it. I am not the person who would return over and over again to the same place, but this one has be coming back over and over again. The place is just beautiful. The smell of the seaside and the pine tree is just amazing. I just LOVE it!
Near sea and sea salt park. We were at apartment of Hotel Laguna. Nice service, lovely apartment with nice shower, microwave, dishwasher etc. Near our apartment was smaller sweet water swimming pool - clean and refreshing. Staff was nice, polite, very helpful, food was average, nothing special, but fresh, tasty. Wellness treatments in Talaso spa center of Hotel Sloboda are beyond great! Very relaxing and proffesional.
we are the 3rd time in this hotel, each time we like it more, its very close to the sea and we like to walk on the sea shore, we got a nice room, and we enjoy the inside pool that is with warm sea water' the dining room and kitchen . are clean and food is home made food. i would like to thank specially to Toni and to the life guard team
