If you want to go to a place where you want to annoy, I advise you to choose Gura Diham Busteni. Bored waiters, bad and old food and the bathroom was the cherry on the cake (I think it was built for dwarfs.) In one word: EVITATI

I was there in a boot camp for 4 days/3 nights in July 2018. The 8km road from Busteni has recently been asphalted thus greatly reducing the amount of dust one might encounter. I'll start with the food. It was very very good ( everyone from my group appreciated it ) and very large portions. Actually he general opinion was "too much food". The personnel was kind and attentive although a bit slow at time. All in all though I was highly impressed by the quality of the service in the restaurant. The place itself is nice, at the base of the mountains, very decent for a 3* hotel. My room was large enough although I guess it would not have felt the same if I would not have been alone in a room fitted for 3 persons (especially the wardrobe). The bathroom is medium sized - I've seen MUCH smaller in way higher priced hotels !. Unfortunately the floor becomes very slippery after taking a shower, I guess that the drain is not as good as it should be. In terms of amenities ...one will receive only 2 towels per person, a small soap and a bit of shampoo. The room has a hair drier and in the wardrobe one can find a small sewing kit. The small LED TV was there but I never used it. On the not so good side: the wi-fi is free but a bit flaky and mobile phone signal is very poor. To cut a long story short: decent place for a few days stay.

Every time when I visit Sinaia and Busteni , I went for a good lunch and a lot of positive energy in this place and restaurant. You can sleep in this rooms for a good sleep. In the summer you can walk around the hotel and climbing the mountain. I fully recommend to visit this place

I love the mountains not only for the views, but especially for the clean and fresh air. Living in a big city makes me appreciate even more the quality of the mountain air. I was dreaming about my trip in the Carpati and I was planning to sleep with the window wide open and... so I did, but because the room was very hot and with no AC which wouldn’t have been a problem if the air outside hadn’t had a smell of... animal excrements, pig I guess. Moreover, unfortunately, this was not all; there was some kind of motor making a horrible noise, not continuous, but at regular intervals of around 10 minutes. The room was enough clean but the sheets had stains. During the shower, the water floods the floor of the bathroom. So, if you plan to go in this place, try to avoid room 104.

Relatively good food. A quite expensive bill and the waiter tells us than we cannot pay by card. VISA and MASTERCARD please ask them to remove your logo ASAP, since they force you to pay cash. There where I do come from this filthy trick is equivalent to fiscal evasion. I think there is an institution called DNA in Romania, it really worth a visit at this place. Oh, and I forgot to mention about the absolutely miserable toilets !!!!! Will never come back, definitively!!

Horrible food. Atrocious service. Not even stop. A lot of wedding parties for low level tribesmen. Correct place to study anthropology on locals. Enough garbage in landshaft for generations of brown bears.

If I only eat their polenta for the rest of my life I would be a happy person. This is also one of the few quiet guest houses in the area. The service is a bit old school though. I'm not sure if it is provided in any foreign language. Our room was big and clean and comfortable. It was a bit smelly in the evenings due to the trash fires. The owner can give great trekking tips, but it's difficult to catch him around.

we slept one night at this hotel, great location, incredible view from our room, beautifull mountains. the food was good and the prices are ok, but they close the bar pretty early. but the main attraction in the area are the bears. we made some safari, game drive thru the bears. there is a camping area close by and starting 10 pm the bears are coming to eat the garbage. we stayed till 1 am watching the bears. we saw 3 males and two females with cubs ( 5 cubs). it's incredible just beautiful. if you want to experience something like this just go there.I recommend to use the car, by foot is pretty dangerous. have fun

Great location and nice view, fairly good price BUT: We had plumbing malfunctions and the staff was very unhelpful ("and what do you want me to do about it?") (it did get fixed the next day). Poor attitude toward the client ("why did you complain about things?"). Amazingly the maid complained that we used the towels and told us she has other "important" guests (we're not important?). The restaurant was rather poorly supplied and didn't have many things on the menu.

Cabana (chalet) Gura Dihamului is located at about 6 km from the Bușteni railway station; the forest road is quite good on the Deer Valley (Valea Cerbului). The old chalet turned now into a true hotel; the restaurant is very picturesque, elegant, everything is from wood. The menu is rich; and a quite fast and friendly service. As in all restaurants avoid busy days and hours. Especially for the Romanians, it's a shame not to go here at least once.
