I go often to hotels and let me tell you that this is not a 4 star Hotel. The bed was broken and shaking all the time, the bath window was broken too and the room was so old... and I payed the best room with the see view!! Was one of the worst experiences in an hotel for sure.

Hotel's Favorite
We had a great time in Portugal. The hotel is very good, super clean and they really look after their customers and staff, there are sanitisers everywhere, we felt very safe eating in the buffet restaurant, it’s a great idea what you are doing to use disposable gloves as well as our masks to get the food. We wish other countries would follow your example!! The service is very good. All the staff are very friendly and efficient, special thanks to Luana at the reception desk, you always did the extra mile for us and always with a smile. Also thank you to Nuno at the hotel bar, so friendly, your cocktails are amazing!! The rooms are nice and were cleaned everyday. We had a sea view room and it was amazing waking up everyday seeing the blue sea and lovely sunny mornings. The location of the hotel is perfect, you just have to cross the street and you are at this beautiful beach, there are cafes around the promenade and you can also walk or ride a bicycle. They have surfing lessons everywhere and lifesavers every few meters. We loved this hotel and we hope to go back in the future.

How can I start? Let me start with the positives: - the location of the hotel is fantastic. Close to the beach, 20-minute drive to Lisbon, in the centre of Costa da Caparica, you can't ask for more - some staff employees are amazing. Have to give a shout out to Claudia especially. - Cleanliness is spot on. Every single day our room was cleaned to the point that if we didn't see our luggages there, I would have thought we were in the wrong room. Now the ugly side of it: - We did travel in September 2020, during COVID-19 circumstances so we understood that we had to wear a mask whilst in the hotel, had our temperature checked and so on. However, that didn't mean we had to queue for ages for breakfast but we still did it. Why? Simply because the hotel management didn't think of a simple yet safe solution to make their guest's experience as close to normal as possible. They had enough room to expand the breakfast area, they could have easily opened up the terrace upstairs for breakfast as well. There was no need for buffet style breakfast where you had to queue for ages because the staff was limited obviously, they could have easily done an a la carte experience whereby guests don't need to queue nor do they need to walk around the restaurant for top-ups. Or if they still wanted to keep breakfast as a buffet, then they could have split the buffet into several parts so that if you wanted only yogurt and fruit for breakfast you didn't need to queue at a single line, you could have easily gone straight there. They sort of opened up the restaurant above and the layout of the buffet upstairs was similar to the above but we then got mixed signals from the reception when we have been told that breakfast upstairs is only served to groups. - Still on breakfast, such a poor choice. For a 4-star hotel we expected more choice, especially since it's Portugal!!! - The hotel in itself is not in my opinion a 4-star hotel but rather a 3-star hotel. It does need a lot of renovations done to it unfortunately. Overall we felt that it was a bit overpriced and underdelivered. Fortunately the Portugal experience was nice that the hotel experience was brushed off fairly easily. But for the money we paid we expected a bit more

I recently moved to the south of Lisbon, and spend a lot of time on the beaches of Costa de Caparica. I decided to try this hotel, to see if it was something that I might want to use for visitors that I don’t have room for at my apartment. First impressions weren’t good when I tried to contact the hotel, to ask what facilities were open during this Covid period. They completely ignored all of the emails that I sent them. I went to book my second choice, only to find that it was no longer available. So, I gave Tryp the benefit of the doubt, and booked. Checkin involved long queues. The bedroom was ok; the bathroom was reasonable, although the shower screen kept closing itself, só you had to keep a hand on it while showering. There was no information at all regarding facilities or opening times, or even WiFi codes. I had to return to the ground floor, where I saw it on a sign in reception, while I was queuing again. Breakfast was stressful to say the least. Queues were enormous. There were only two people serving, sometimes only one, and the queue often stretched out of the door to the dining room. Sometimes just to get a refill on a cup of coffee would take 15 minutes. I should also add that the coffee here is the worst that I’ve ever tasted in Portugal. Things shouldn’t be like this, especially at a hotel that claims to be four stars. I left with the impression that I had when the first few emails went unanswered: Tryp simply don’t care about you. Avoid.

The last time i booked this hotel. 10years on a row i booked here. The worst experience i had on a hotel, was this year and when i said but i Come here since 2010 and said something... the staff really didnt care. They do what they want with you an your choices. Its a 2 stars hotel with a Good location, thats all. Cleaning??? In covid-19??? I hasked to open a window on the living room from the Suite, to refresh an to bring new air in the room, they didnt want, intern policy. With Covid-19 you have to refresh a room, almost every two hours. NO! And when the cleaning was appening, the windows stay close all the time. the hotel instaled a hand sanityser outside,on our floor, its the third day and the floor is still not clean from the drillmachine and the dust. In the room... no comment. Its not the staff fault... i dont blame them. Its my fault, because i came here again. Not another year. Faites bien attention avant de reserver cet hotel. Vorher Aufpassen mit die reservierung an diesem Hotel. Aufpassen Bitte.
