My friend and I booked separate rooms at Torre at the end of September 2015. We had one splurge stay planned on our trip to Italy and this was it. I felt Torre Di Moravola definitely lived up to expectations. I was in the West Room which was nicely appointed and the bed was quite comfortable. I was in awe... More

The things you don't know you are about to experience were the best parts of this amazing hotel. The pictures on line to do not do the property justice. We stayed with another couple and each of the rooms were unique and done to such a high level of architecture and design that it was almost a work of art... More

Torre di Moravola is simply the most beautiful place that we have ever stayed. It is hidden in the breathtaking Umbrian countryside, along a gravel track, across the valley from Montone. The property is uniquely inspiring - a 12th century watch tower imaginatively rennovated with stunning architectural flair and design. The open areas are light and spacious and the rooms... More

This is what luxury travel is supposed to be about. The owners, Christopher and Seona have done it all in renovating this 10th century watch tower into a contemporary gem with all the right touches, and nothing 'over the top'. The setting is remote and beautiful; Christopher is an amazing chef, and despite excellent meals in the surrounding villages, we... More

My husband and I stayed at Torre di Moravola in July as part of a 6 week holiday in Italy traveling from Australia. The tower is beautiful, it is surrounded by views in all directions, the rooms are simple and elegant, the food is fabulous and the pool is sublime at the end of a day out exploring. Seonaid was... Friends arranged the accommodation and reading some of the negative reviews I was a little unsure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised and had a great time at Moravola. This is not a large hotel experience. Its a fantastic restoration of an crumbling old medieval tower, restored into a fantastic modern luxury retreat, with beautifully appointed, self contained living... More

While reading some other reviews of the place I could not help but notice a pattern for the not so positive reviews: they all thought Moravola was a hotel! Well it is not, instead it is a beautiful luxurious bed and breakfast, you basically stay in someone's castle in the middle of beautiful Umbria; and the owners - who designed... More

I stayed here with a group last year and found the experience disappointing. First we stayed in an apartment that was described as sleeps four comfortably. Two of us slept very uncomfortably: on a thin mattress on a concrete slab under noisy metal stairs the other on a not very comfortable fold out couch. This would have been acceptable had... More

Moravola , is a fantastic Umbrian hilltop experience . Owner Christopher and Seonaid have created a designer location with spectacular views of the surrounding valleys and countryside. There are only 6 suites , so it is small and intimate where you come together each evening with the other guests for drinks and dinner so this may not suit if you... More

It was hard to leave, I can tell you. The only consolation is, I will be back soon enough somehow. We became friends of "La Torre", and once you are part of the clan, there is no such thing as leaving. What can I say more that adds to the previous comments about Moravola ? The food, the rooms, the... More
