We visited relais antiche saline two weekends ago and I can say it was a very relaxing stay. The hotel in itself is very clean and the surroundings are amazing. We also ate at the hotel restaurant which was very good. Bfast excellent. Staff very helpful. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

This place has it all. Attentive, pleasant staff; Lovely pool and hot tub in a sheltered garden complete with massage area; bright spacious breakfast area and bar; clean comfortable rooms of different sizes to suit; stunning views all around; great resort-owned restaurant just a short walk away where fish is the highlight and is delicious. We used the resort not... More

Lovely accommodation away from the hustle of Trapani but a good center from which to see north eastern Sicily. Pool and hot tub are in a pleasant garden setting. Staff are very pleasant and attentive. Breakfast and bar area are spacious and bright with separate access to a central courtyard and pool area. The resort owns the restaurant a short... More

We stayed here for two nights with friends, and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good and the rooms were very clean. All considered, the price for staying here was extremely reasonable. I would recommend it to others, especially as an alternative to staying in the nearby larger cities.

Whitewashed with blue trim hotel set in the salt flats outside of Trapani. Large clean room although the windows only allowed a veiw for tall people. Warm and helpful staff at the desk, a nice buffet breakfast and a senic local, complete with swiimming pool and hot tub. A nice alternative to staying in town.

We were on a nine day tour of Sicily and stayed for two nights here. I would willingly have spent the whole nine days here! The staff were friendly and efficient, the rooms lovely and the pool and grounds relaxing, The nearby restaurant served excellent food in an idyllic setting. The sunset was amazing. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

You would be staying right by the salt ponds with view of sea and windmills. Good service, big breakfast buffet, nor pool for a swim and garden. You will enjoy also the oils that they are selling and perfumes. Great location but you need a car.

Beautiful location and building, but the room was nothing special. Was very disappointed to find out the pool was out of order (one of the main reasons for booking here). I understand these things happen, however: (a) given that the pool broke in the morning, it should have been fixed at some point during the day rather than at the... More

The room was very spacious. We could see the sea, the salt pans and the Torre nubia from our room. The receptionists were very friendly. The breakfast buffet is nice. We also went to their nearby restaurant, located at the windmill. The view is stunning but the food wasn't good and the waiters were very unfriendly. Trapani is only a... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The baglio (farmhouse) of Marquise Platamone can be found in Trapani and Paceco Salt Pan Nature Reserve. It is located a short distance from the sea, overlooking the Egadi archipelago that, in 241 B.C., Was the site of the naval battle between the Romans and the Carthaginians. In more recent years it has been the location of the 32nd America's Cup sailing contest. The careful renovation which has been carried out to convert the farm house into accommodation facilities has preserved both the environment and the genuine characteristics of Sicilian tradition. The Relais Antiche Saline is halfway between Trapani airport and the city centre, only a few kilometers from both.In fact, in only 10 minutes you can get to Nubia and arrive at the Relais. ... more   less
