Spent 2 weeks there with a 2 years old child, I'd definitely recommend for families. Location is great, rooms ok (you are outside anyway) except that a/c is extra charged. Oh, since the hotel is married with promovacances, it's full of french people, which can be annoying....

Good clean rooms. Wonderful location near the beach. Friendly staff. Skip the breakfast, find one in the village. Free parking near the hotel. Close to shops and centre of Matala. Best taverna for real Cretan food "The 2 brothers" in the centre.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The good= free parking, beachside location& clean room. The rest=an all inclusive "resort" that seems to cater for loud and not classy foreigners. When we arrived the reception staff were quite aggressive when asked reasonable questions. They told us the only information we needed to know was that breakfast was at 7-30am and the...

We stayed one night and were pleasantly surprised. The staff is friendly, the room was nice and clean, and the food was good both in the morning and the evening. The only bad thing is the wind from the sea next to it, because it gets chilly by the pool. But I'm guessing it depends on the weather and season...

Even in the moast remote room you can here the waves from the ocean. The prices of seson was more than fair and included breakfast (not the best) The staff was verry helpfull and helped us to look for information we needed for some of our day trips. They even have a swimingpool for thoes lazy days.

We were on one of our ex tempore visits and this time to Matala. Hotel got chosen by great location, price, beach and internet. Hotel staff is family and they really knew what they were doing. Service was good and fast, breakfast had variety and it was good. Room was absolutely beautiful and for that price - more than we...

I just spent four nights here during the music festival. It is the perfect location, right across from the beautiful bay and within walking distance of everything and has private parking. They have a very nice pool area with bar which we found really nice to escape to when the wind came up. Only ate breakfast there but it was...

Matala was an amazing location for a holiday - though I'm glad we were there off-season as I'd imagine it would be madly busy peak season. The hotel chef was fantastic & was really accommodating of my non-meat diet and made sure there was something tasty for me at every meal. The all-inclusive deal of wine and beer, with coffee...
