We arrived at this hotel late at night after having caught the TGV from Paris, loved this place, small and typically French, I thought, breakfast was fantastic and the rooms very comfortable, we had a view of the canal and watched the boats going up and down. We stayed one night as we were picking up a self-drive canal boat... More

A simple hotel right on the canal, and close to the train station, restaurants and Le Boat. We walked from the train station to the hotel. Our room was on the second floor--hump your suitcases up the stairs. The room had linoleum floors, a double bed, a desk, TV, and bathroom with a tub/shower. One large window opened to the... More

This was a 2 star hotel on the banks of the Canal du Midi in Castlenaudary. We stayed overnight on way to south. Delighted with room.....simple, clean and the air conditioning was a really big plus...It was very warm( end August 2012) so we kept it on continuously. No restaurant but lovely breakfast outside on terrace overlooking the canal. A wee... More

We stayed here for one night prior to starting a weeks charter w/LeBoat on the canal du Midi. The hotel is right on the canal and about a 10 min walk along the canal to the Le Boat harbor. It's also about 10 min from the train station which is how we arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful. Not... More

As other reviewers have stated, this little hotel is fine for a night. It is only a short walk into town, and there is free car parking. We were delighted to find it after a five hour drive, and Castelnaudry itself is worth an overnight trip. Very friendly lady on reception. We asked for a canal view room and she... More

We stayed one night, which was enough. The room was basic, more like dormitory than hotel. Only had one bath towel - asked for another, but it never arrived. I've never seen notices saying "Silence - hotel" and "No talking in the corridors" before. Is it a hotel or a monastery? We chose this because it wasn't a chain hotel,... More

We just stayed one night but that was enough. It's an old tired hotel with small rooms and no A/C and no amenities. Our room overlooked the canal, which is pretty and very handy if you're planning on biking along the path. There's also a door through the restaurant that leads to the canal and locked storage for bikes. The... More

We stayed here for one night, having chosen it based on Trip Advisor reviews, and it was just what we wanted. We were picking up a boat from Le Boat, for a one-week canal cruise starting the next day, and arrived in Castelnaudary by train from Paris late in the afternoon. The hotel is a short walk from the train... More
