What a gem! Villa Mango is a wonderful B&B tucked up in the hills above Playa Pelada. My room and bathroom overlooked the trees and the ocean and was a beautiful place to slow down and relax. Agnes and Jo are easy going, knowledgeable and friendly hosts. Breakfast was delicious. I'd thoroughly recommend staying here.

We had ourselves a wonderful stay! Everything about Villa Mango was top notch, the hosts, the hospitality, incredible view to the ocean and sunsets, the immaculate rooms, and let’s not forget the overall ambiance. A total paradise! Definitely recommend to visit if you are looking to relax and unwind. All around fabulous time. Pura Vida!!

This is the place to stay! Precious location overlooking the best jungle and ocean views, wildlife, and good conversation during a delicious breakfast every morning. Rooms are comfortable and clean, deck with hammocks out of the hot sun, creates respite in the heat of the day, with a beautiful poolside area to rest and tan when wanted. This is a gem hidden only 10 min walk from the local beaches, quiet and comfortable for all ages!

Cute small hotel, run by a very friendly French couple with lots of love. Breakfast was delicious and good variety of fruits, jams and muesli! We stayed in the Congo room which I can highly recommend! Huge bathroom, great shower and an amazing view.

We had just one night, but an extraordinary experience. Our room was spacious and clean with great beds and our own bathroom through swinging doors. We fell asleep to the sound of the ocean and awoke to birdsong, then had a fantastic breakfast viewing the ocean from the wide deck, featuring perfectly prepared omelettes, fruit smoothies, fresh fruits, breads, and coffee/tea. Amazing to see a Coati sleeping on the rail (but don't touch) and fun to watch the jays come for their own breakfast. Multinational hosts Agnes and Joe have thought of everything. You can swim in the upper deck pool with ocean views or head to three different beaches for surfing and beach walking.

I really enjoyed my stay at Villa Mango. Its in a beautiful, quiet location with a beautiful view, away but not too far from the downtown area. I loved waking up to the sound of the howler monkeys in the morning and going to sleep with the sound of the ocean. I had a beautiful room, with a great view. Wonderful breakfast, to start the day, fruits, granola, yogurt, fresh bread and eggs. Agnes and Joe were great hosts, always there to help and pleasant conversations at the breakfast table with the other guests. Also they have a beautiful salt water pool, that you can use, even in the evening, which was so relaxing. Can't wait to return. Pura Vida!

We only were able to stay one night, but we want to return for a longer vacation. The facilities are beautiful with lovely, personal touches from the wood finishes to the deep blue tiled pool. The hosts treat you like family from the moment you arrive until when you comment in their guest book to which they will add the photo that they take of you. The scrumptious breakfast included local fruit, Costa Rican coffee, granola, yogurt, scrambled or fried eggs with rice and beans all made to order. The conversations at the breakfast table were animated and cordial. Of the many places we visited during our month-long stay in Costa Rica, this is one of the most memorable. Pura Vida.

My husband and I stayed a week at Villa Mango and it was nothing short of amazing. Really great views, relaxing pool, yummy breakfast and wonderful hospitality. Jo was fantastic and very helpful throughout our stay- organized transportation, arranged for a private yoga instructor and provided lots of area information. Shortwalk to the beach was a huge plus but you could really spend quite a bit of time at the villa, as we did! Relaxing and enjoying the beauty around you is what villa mango is all about and the upper deck is something special; from lounging around, having a drink, reading on the comfy chairs and hammocks, swimming and simply enjoying the views, Villa Mango is an absolute gem!

Perfect experience! A very nice family owns this place. They speak English, French, and Spanish. This beautiful place has such awesome view of the rain forest and the ocean. Plenty of restaurants nearby and the ocean is short walk away. I checked in late at night and the host knew exactly who I was! Breakfast was made to order and delicious! So many variety of fruits! Lots of animals and birds nearby. The main deck has very comfortable seating area. When you come you don't want to leave! I checked out my room but still hang out at the place for a few hours while exploring the beach. The host even allowed me to use her personal shower after I checked out. If you come to Costa Rica, don't stay at a large chain hotel. Stay at a cute place like this and support local!

This place was awesome. Agnès and Joe were lovely. Very good breakfast, amazing view, peaceful and quiet, the place was clean! A lot of hammocks and places to chill down. 10 min' walk to a beautiful beach. AC cost 10$ per night but in rainy season it's not necessary.
