I went to the Blue Spirit Retreat Center as part of a guided yoga retreat. The shalas, accommodations, shared living space were all stunning. It was a short walk to a semi private beach, and about a 45 minutes walk along the water to the nearest surf town (walk at low tide only). The daily buffet buffets were delicious, and I would find foods to eat specifically so I could dip them in the house made condiments. I stayed in the main part of the facility, which was basically a hotel room, though there were tents and eco huts available as well. The room was modest and clean, and had a beautiful view of the forest, where loud monkeys would wake us all in the mornings before practice. There was a bar onsite with treats you could buy, like wine, chocolate truffles, and whole coconuts. There was also a little shop with clothing, books, gifts, and travel essentials. I thought both the bar and the shop were quite expensive and would instead recommend going to town if you can. Definitely recommended!…
Do not spend your $ here. The front desk people do not value their customers. Rather than providing honest guidance regarding the cost for excursions and taxi’s, the front desk woman, Tatiana (((doubled))) the price. I am sure she received a kick back. The manager (Jose) could have compensated me but he refused to and then lied to me. I was shocked at the lack of integrity. I also had a pair of earrings stolen. It is also absurd that they do not provide beach towels! It was a very disappointing stay. I wish I went to Harmony on the Beach.
This is a magical place! I came here solo (received a brochure from Omega and had visited their Hudson Valley center several times) for rejuvenation and wellness. I found it! The staff is wonderful and friendly (very special thanks to Tatiana at the front desk and Freddy in the Sky Mind Hall!), the food was outstanding (super healthy and local) and the atmosphere inside and out is beautiful, pristine and peaceful. The beach is a fairly easy 5 minute walk downhill - and once you arrive it is practically empty. I had two spa treatments that were very good (important tip: sign up as soon as you get here because appointments book up very quickly!). The pool was crystal clear and lovely. My room was incredible (in the main building) and the Air conditioning is a MUST have. If your soul, body and mind need a reset, come. Don’t think too hard about it- do it for yourself. It is totally safe for a woman traveling alone, their shuttle to and from Liberia is convenient and easy to find. Two suggestions to management: (1) provide beach towels (having guests bring their own simply means more sand in the hallways and rooms. You provide towels for the pool, you must do so for the beach.) (2) please leave the wonderful water infusions out throughout the day for guests. My sincere thanks to everyone at Blue Spirit and Omega for a truly incredible experience.…
Just returned from my third visit to blue spirit. The atmosphere, friendly service, and comfortable accommodations are wonderful but the cuisine, sunsets and howler monkeys make it extra special. Its a steep trek down to the beach but totally worth it!
My husband and I spent a week at Blue Spirit in Nosara for a yoga retreat together with 26 other people. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out We were treated so well. Every staff member shows friendliness and respect. The grounds are kept perfectly, the yoga rooms ( 3 of them) were immaculate, with proper ventilation, towels, mats, views, the right sound system etc etc. The food served were all delicious plant based, organic with full descriptions of ingredients. they also have an infinity pool complete with loungers. We had some issues with the size of room and the air conditioning but these bumps were resolved immediately. Thank You Helena and Stephan. We had one of our best holidays ever. Thank You Blue Spirit.
