Had one of the best times in my life! Unguja Lodge is a great resort right on the Indian Ocean. the staff is amazing and extremely friendly and accommodating. We were greeted with such a warm welcome. After being given a tour of the pool area and ocean view we were taken to our lodge. The lodge had a wonderland...

The lodge itself is beautiful, the setting is stunning and the food is absolutely amazing, but the PEOPLE who run it are what made this trip one of the most memorable experiences of my life! Thank you, my heart is filled with gratitude! Mary Alyce, New York, USA

I was lucky enough to stay at Unguja with a group of fellow travellers on a retreat. From the second we arrived we knew we were somewhere special. Martain and the staff made sure we were well looked after, the rooms were absolutely incredible and the food to die for. The pool was just gorgeous and several of us did...

I have never stayed anywhere quite like Unguja Lodge before. It is such a special, beautiful and unique place. From the moment our group arrived at the lodge, we felt completely relaxed and at home. We especially valued Unguja Lodge's commitment to responsible tourism and their efforts to support the natural and social environment. A big thank you to all...

After six days of Safari on the mainland, this was the ideal place to unwind and relax. Great accommodation (we had a family villa facing the ocean), very nicely designed and outfitted. The outdoor bathroom was great, so was the lounge area. All the necessary amenities were there (air condition, mosquito nets, insect spray, tea/coffee maker, filtered water, very nice...

The first time we visited we found the food to be extremely poor which let the lodge down big time! I can now positively report that they now have a new Chef....'Chef Elizabeth' and her expertise in the kitchen is very evident with 100% improvement in the quality of food served, the crab claws were sooooooo tasty! Well done Unguja...

This was the perfect place to completely relax. Our Villa was the most amazing place I have ever stayed in. (and we have travelled a lot) Spacious, beautiful, wonderfully furnished, in keeping with the local area and with the best view ever. I was slightly worried about no air conditioning, but the way the villas are designed they are relatively...

We stayed 5 nights in January. The sea view villas are very spacious although you have to keep your belongings in the bedroom due to the monkeys! Even the loo roll is tied up to try to stop them unravelling and shredding it! The villa consists of large lockable bedroom with lockable luggage store and twin washbasins as well as...

We stayed for a week at Unguja Lodge before embarking on a safari in Tanzania. The hotel is beautifully located on the edge of the sea surrounded by nature - monkeys regular visitors, a mixed blessing! At high tide you swim straight off the land, at low tide you can walk down the beach. There is a sandy bay 2...
