This is the friendliest, most laid back, beautifully located and delicious place ever. I was there October 2014 ASA single female traveller and have been dreaming of it ever since. You wake up next to an azure ocean, take breakfast in an open restaurant, then either relax in the hammocks or go down to the beach directly in front of...

Highly recommanded for a few nights, low price for perfect chill out Staff: Very nice and familiar rasta-style owner, staff tries his best! Zanzibarian 'pole pole' and 'hakuna matata' Bungalow No. 2: rural bungalow with minimal comfort, but all in all sweet with nice veranda and self-made forniture, bathroom open air, open bungalow with some insects inside but you have...

What a great place. Loved the outdoor bathroom. Lovely warm welcome from the owner shabby, friendly staff and stunning location. The food was lovely. I really can't fault this place at all. When the tides out take a walk to the reef or along the coastline. Be warned though. Don't let Sophia give you a manicure!!

After climbing the Kilimanjaro we ended our vacation with a relaxation at Zanzibar. This place is great to have a good rest! The employees will inform you shprtly about all the activities which you can do around the area and if you'd like it more to just relax and enjoy the sea and sun it's also a great idea looking...

We haven't stayed at the place, but only went there to enjoy the beach. Although we were there in high season (beginning of January) it wasn't crowded at all. The place looks pretty fantastic and offers everything your need for a relaxing day next to the sea. The only thing to avoid is the food - very western and not...

Random review, structure be damned. Wonderful location, great views, helpful staff and lots to do. The showers use salt water which is a nice touch. There are several hammocks on the premises and they are really comfy, its tempting to sleep under the night sky. The menu (breakfast, lunch and supper) changes on a daily basis and the food is...

2 Irish students aged 21 stayed at the promised land lodge for 2 nights july 2015 (I could have stayed forever ) - upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner Sheby and shown to our beautiful room. We stayed in a gorgeous double bedroom located upstairs with a balcony looking out to the turquoise blue sea. Our room...

We reserved a night at Promised Land following a strong recommendation from a lady guesthouse owner, Nadine, in Kendwa. She said it was the most beautiful place to stay on the island, and so bam, we booked it for a night in advance. We arrived a few days later and I have to say, I just felt insanely relaxed as...

The place is very relaxing and the service from the members of staff is 10/10. Good food, the staff will help arrange some activities/walks around the area. It is a good value for money and I would recommend it to anyone planning a trip. Note that the WiFi is not good in most parts of the area and the water...

We stood here for nearly a week as a group of six people. Rooms are as clean as others in this part of the world, you have your own bathroom with saltwater coming out of the taps. You get lunch and dinner for extra money. It is good, but there is no other possibility to eat around Kizimkazi. There is...
