The rooms in the main building are OK, the bathroom should be renovated. The balcony is very small, but it's fine for two chairs/people.
The rooms are cleaned every day on request. If you leave a tip, they clean it more thoroughly.
If you have a "please do not disturb" sign hanging on the door, the room will still be entered and cleaned.
The only good thing about the food is that it fills you up. Tap water, ice cubes and cocktails smell and taste strongly of chlorine. If you have a weak stomach, you should avoid these from day one.
We found hair in the food at every meal; be it the rice, tzatziki or the salad.
The food is almost always cold, the leftovers are always used, which is good in itself, but the combinations are very unusual.
The food is not always properly labelled, which is very dangerous for allergy sufferers and people with intolerances.
Most of the staff are very nice, but it's almost all self-service. Plates/glasses are cleared away, you can't order anything from the staff.
After 11pm there are no more all-inclusive drinks, which means you have to pay for them. The prices are abysmally expensive. If you don't want beer/wine on tap, you have to pay even during the all-inclusive.
The pool bar closes completely at 1am; lights out and bye. The staff at the pool bar are all friendly though! The queues at the bars are always very long as there are usually not enough staff there.
The late riser breakfast only includes toast/bread and toppings.
But this is usually cleared away before 10.30am.
The desserts are not labelled, which can be very dangerous for me as an allergy sufferer.
You have to pay extra for almost everything.
20€ per person for an hour in the sauna
Light on the football pitch when it's dark (20€)
Beach loungers are also not included in the all-inclusive. When we arrived we were offered a room in the newly built hotel building. This would have cost an extra €100 per person for a week. The only difference to the other hotel rooms here is the newly renovated bathroom. However, some other guests received this as a gift, i.e. as an upgrade, for free. It is close to the main building. You can enter all the rooms in the main building, but it is a bit out of the way.
I do not recommend this hotel.
The facility/furniture is really very nice, but the implementation is very poor.

The hotel itself is really nice. The room is very small, as is the bathroom, but it is perfectly adequate. Cleanliness is OK, but the shared toilets smell and are not very clean.

The staff are very friendly, but the service is lacking. A lady at reception is very snappy.

When you check in, you are given a card and only get information about where the room is when you ask. There are elevators.

When you check out, you feel like you have done your duty as a paying customer and are done. Late check out was not possible. If you want to use the towels that day, you will be asked for a €20 deposit per towel.

There is a trunk and a shared shower that can be used. You can also get a locker for valuables.

The food is OK, you can always find something.

The surroundings are nice, but there is not much to offer. It is best to book excursions when the weather is bad. There is a great provider right next to the hotel.

The beach is not nice. Rather barren.

Loungers and towels are included.

For sensitive people, the flight noise could be disturbing, as the hotel is located directly in the flight path.

We were shocked by the "quality" of the room. The four of us had booked a family room, which was divided into 2 rooms (+ bathroom). However, there was only air conditioning in the smaller room at the back. A standing fan was provided for the large room at the front... As a result, the room was extremely hot and difficult to cool down. The entire furnishings were rather outdated and anything but modern, as in the pictures on the internet. In addition, the bathroom was yellow and had no ventilation/window and there was only a bathtub without any splash guard.
Unfortunately, we were unable to rebook the room on site because the hotel was apparently fully booked. The first impression was therefore rather negative.
The complex itself and the surrounding area are very nice and modern.
The free cocktails are OK, but with little alcohol and not so nicely presented. Common, well-known cocktails, such as Pina Colada, are subject to a charge.
The staff were mostly very friendly and accommodating.
The beach section, on the other hand, is rather sporadic and does not give you a nice holiday vibe. The food was varied and special requests were also fulfilled. Unfortunately, many dishes/sauces were not labeled and there was no indication of whether something was vegetarian or vegan. However, when asked, the staff tried very hard to help.

I would only recommend the hotel to a limited extent. Maybe it's OK for a holiday for two by the pool.

Hotel was by and large fine.
Staff were rather unfriendly. The rooms were fine, but the bathroom was old and small.
The pool areas were very nice, however you had to reserve already at 6am lying down. The water temperature was very pleasant! We didn't like the all inclusive cocktails at all.
The buffet dinner was always varied, but at the end of the holiday we felt we had always eaten the same, everything quite oily and a bit harder to find for people with intolerances or special diets.
The beach of the hotel we did not like at all, it was very dirty and small. Outside the bay, the water was very different and very enjoyable.
There were many trips to book from the hotel. Highly recommended is the Quad Safari and also the sailboat tour takes you to a very beautiful bay!
On the day of departure you can still use the all inclusive package all day, there are private showers with free towels.

The hotel is quite close to the airport. Renovated room, without decoration, insufficient storage space, basic plastic chairs on the terrace, no drying rack for hanging laundry. Please note that there is no safe in the room, a room with safes is located on the ground floor of the main building, at an additional cost. The common areas and the room are well maintained and clean, a small downside, the toilets in the basement are not cleaned often enough. The beach, not private, is very small, rental of beach chairs is not included in the price.
Wide choice at the buffet level, the dishes are replenished very regularly. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Discreet animation.
Hotel a little below some other 4*

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There is something for everyone at the buffet and there are enough seats. Unfortunately, the cocktails in the all-inclusive package were not drinkable. The outdoor areas and pools are well-kept and clean. The loungers are reserved in the morning and the hotel staff do nothing about it. The number of loungers at the pools is therefore not sufficient. Unfortunately, the beach is not tidied up and there is still rubbish lying around. We had rooms in the main building. The bathrooms are in need of renovation and the cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. The whole building needs renovation.

I'll rate the SPA first, ELENI and FIORI know their craft really well. Both ladies are accommodating, very friendly and polite. We (my husband was there too) can really recommend this SPA with a clear conscience. We each had 3 treatments in total.
The entire staff in the club is extremely friendly, unfortunately some of the receptionists don't even know how much a taxi to the next town costs. You also get very vague information about activities. But you can ask the two bartenders, they are very quick, friendly and know a lot about excursions and the like.
The rooms are clean, but bare (no pictures on the walls etc.), beds are made every day, but not cleaned every day. The bathrooms are not up to the standards of a 4 star hotel.

We spent wonderful days in this hotel from October 7th to October 14th, 2023.

We were very satisfied with our room 321. The cleaning was done daily.

The food was very balanced, plentiful and tasty.

If a review complained that the breakfast was not varied, we ask in what form the variety should be provided. The offer was extensive and varied and allowed new variations to be consumed every day for at least 7 days.

The dining room and the adjoining rooms are generously designed. The usual character and noise level of a train station hall is thereby greatly reduced.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

The "all inclusive" offer is generous and of high quality in terms of time and content.

The hotel can be recommended without reservation.

It is unfortunate that very few guests (almost exclusively men) adhere to the requested dress code. The hotel would have deserved compliance as a sign of recognition.

We were able to relax very well. The hotel does not offer entertainment, but offers various recreational activities, such as billiards, table tennis. The only thing that could be improved would be changing rooms by the pool, as you are not supposed to go wet through the hotel, but the toilets are only downstairs in the hotel. Hence a point deduction. The food is varied. In addition to local specialities, there is always a pasta selection, pizza, fries and a rich salad and dessert buffet.

Overall a great hotel!

The staff were very friendly and always looking for one!

When eating there is something for everyone, you just have to take a closer look 😉

Now for the criticism:

Drinks are made much better and more lovingly at the pool bar than at the beach bar!

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the beach at the hotel leaves much to be desired , there are also many locals and guests from other hotels there.
5 min. Walking distance away, however, is a great beach with water sports at fair prices!
Like everywhere else in the meantime, the annoying topic of "booking beds"
Unfortunately, this is not controlled by the hotel, which is why one or the other guest knew how to help himself, after hours no one appeared at the lounger 😅

All in all, we still had a great time at Aphrodite and can only recommend it, because to complain you will find something everywhere 😄

No decent clubs in the nabour hood. Some good bars and small clubs, but nothing spectacular. I would recommend renting a car or getting a cab to chersonissos (better than malia)
