We have been to Barga many times now and this is one of our favourite restaurants. Food excellent, same high standards over the years. Great selection of wines if your are not sure what to choose Roberto will give you his advice. Complimentary glass of Proseco when you arrive.

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon in Italy. Barga itself is very picturesque and has some excellent restaurants and is very vibrant during the busy season with Different festivals going on all the time. Compared to the nearby tourist trap of Pisa, the food is excellent and much more value for money. The Alpino offers a really warm...

We stayed two nights in the Hotel Alpino and absolutely loved it. The owners were lovely and the hotel was well run. We also ate there and the food was delicious and we'll priced. Would definitely recommend.

A trip to barga would not be complete without a few visits to bar Alpino! Great coffee and snacks, reasonably priced, great service. Excellent location in central Barga, have never stayed at the hotel so can't comment on that.

Lovely hotel. We stayed in the apartment on 2nd floor with balcony. Fully air conditioned with the added benefit of having a small kitchen facility with fridge. Rooms spotlessly clean, fresh towels etc provided daily. Excellent continental breakfast in the morning. Ate in restaurant on 1 of the evenings and food 1st class. Large selection of wines and Roberto keen...

This is a charming small hotel on the outskirts of an amazing 11th century town. Hotel room with small balcony was spotlessly clean and well equipped and cosy. Delicious breakfast was included and such good value. There are many excellent restaurants within the old town.

This place never disappoints. Spotlessly clean rooms. Beautiful fresh towels daily. Good air conditioning. Great continental breakfast. Friendly and professional staff. Don't think you can you ask for more from a 3 star hotel in the middle of town.

I stayed 4 nights in this lovely hotel whilst attending a friend's wedding in the area. The hotel has remained in the same Italian family for several generations, and the owner and his family and staff were all very friendly and helpful. My 'single room' with its wooden beams and shutters had a comfy double bed and a nice clean...

The Alpino Hotel is a clean, well-situated hotel in the center of Barga. The owner is a gracious one-man show, doing the registration, cooking for the restaurant on the 2nd floor, and I believe general maintenance as well. Yet, he is completely attentive to the needs of guests. While there is no specific parking, a space can usually be found...

The Alpino hotel is a delight. On a quiet pedestrian street - with parking nearby. The hotel is an older hotel, lovely building, large comfortable rooms. And the owner also cooks, wonderful dinners. It was so relaxing and pleasant to stay there. I wish we could have stayed longer.

“Our room 22, is on the side of the hotel overlooking the piazza , there is a road running along side the hotel and is the main road through Barga so quite busy. I would suggest rooms on this side of the hotel are quieter than the other side where the road is busier.”
