Spent a lovely week here from the 22nd to 29th December.....the Staff were great, friendly and professional. I was given a free upgrade on arrival, to a family room, which was lovely and spacious! The food was always of a high standard and a good variety. Loved the evening entertainment and the Animation team were fun and hard working. Christmas Eve was a night to remember! The only downside was that I found the room quite noisy, with constant scraping noises or drilling like noise from above, I mentioned this to reception a number of times but no concrete explanation could be given?? But all in all a lovely stay!

The hotel is nice and mostly clean. It’s right next to his “sister” hotel Adalya Resort & Spa and a few meters away from Adalya Artside. The room (1404) was spacious enough (2 adults 2 little kids). Also bathroom was fine. The balcony was side sea view and faces Adalya Resort & Spa and another hotel Side Premium Hotel. It was clean and a minibar was refilled everyday. It contained some juice, mineral water, fanta, coke... and also some crisps. If you leave some “balshis” for a maid you can expect better and deeper cleaning. There’s a safebox in the room as well. The main language is German. They basicaly don’t ask and speak German directly to you. They also know som English (not much) and Russian. Animators are mostly Turkosh and speak German fluently. The food was fine but it was the same all the time and after first 4-5 days is quite annoying and boring. Lunch at the beach restaurant is “french fries”, pizza, noodles, fruit and vegetable all the time and all the same! There are some shops in the hotel, they offer some suveneirs, beach stuff like floating wheels (also for the littlest), water matrases, toys, postcards, turkosh delights... also jewellery shops and shop with “fake” goods like handbags, shoes, belt... They rent cars and baby strollers as well but ask for it in advance. The hotel is checked by the security guard guys in front of the hotel and the pool and beach too. The beach is nice and wide, very nice and gentle sand. The sea is not too deep with with gradual entry to the sea. Perfect fot children. There are not a lot of waves. Most of them are made artificially by boats and water sports. We visited the beach behind the bay, it seems to us to be nicer and cleaner. Animation program could be a little bit varied but not bad at all. What we didn’t really like was old and completely drunk guys “playing” bingo or darts, whatever, but drunk and too loud. Shopping is just downway from the hotel. Plenty of shops and suveneirs. Be ready to negotiate a price.

I stayed at Adalya Ocean Deluxe hotel for 10 days with my family (2 kids, 6 and 10years-old) and everything was very good but it would be way better if the staff could speak English... Only the receptionists and some people at Spa could speak it at least a bit. If you tried asking anyone something in English they just looked at you or simply started speaking German, which is fine - I know that the hotel has mainly German clientele, but there were many people from other countries as well - and that´s what the management should realize and react to. I speak German a little so I managed to communicate somehow but my son could not order anything because at the bar they did not understand what is APPLE JUICE... I even had a bad experience with a very rude guy who made Kebab at one of the stalls near the beach - I asked him something in English, he looked at me as if I came from Mars and then he replied rudely in German that he does not speak English and that I should learn to speak Turkish if I want anything from him... Another thing that bothered me was that the cleaners were coming to clean our room at very different times - there were days when the cleaner "threw" us out of the room at 10am and other days we had to wait till 2.30pm or 3.30pm to have the room cleaned. On the other hand I have to say that the cleaners were doing a very good job and also some waiters at the restaurant were trying hard to understand at least the basic words in English - eventually I got used to to their BITTE following my THANK YOU after couple of days. What concerns the room we had,it was just big enough for the four us and as I have already mentioned it was kept clean well, just like the pools and the surroundings of the hotel. You could find sun loungers available at the beach all the time but the sun beds around the pool, you had to put your towel on in the morning - there were some free till about 9.30am so you did not have to get up at 6 to do so. The pool was never too crowded nor were the water slides. However the best was the beach, warm water, shallow sea for about 20 or more meters - my kids enjoyed it tremendously. I would prefer a little fewer people but this is a big resort so the amount of the guests was huge as well. So you cannot expect any privacy or peace and quiet. Still the sun, sand and the sea were amazing. The main restaurant was very pleasant and it had enough seating for every guest in the hotel so you did not have to wait for a free table. The food was plentiful, various and delicious. The choice was almost unlimited. Huge variety of deserts, salads, cheese, fruit ... everything. Compliments to the chefs. We even preferred having lunch at the restaurant to eating something in the pool bar or bars at the beach since we really liked that quiet atmosphere in the main restaurant during the lunch hours. The dinners were distinctively busier, so get ready for some queueing... The staff in general appeared pleasant, if you were nice to the people, greeted them and smiled, they reacted back nicely - apart from the Kebab guy... There was an international animation team which did a good job for the adults but for the kids, it was not various enough, we had chosen the hotel because they had Slovak animators for kids but except for the evening mini-disco the activities were not very well-organized, only some painting in the morning - my daughter would go there but not very regularly. She was a little disappointed about it. On the other hand there were all kinds of events in the evening - you could go and see a magician show, synchronized swimmers or some Salsa dancers etc. some of them were good some of them less so. But you have an alternative - to go for a walk to a near pier (take good shoes not flip-flops since you have to walk on big rocks), walk along a promenade near the beach, or do some shopping in the malls or small shops in the centre - by the way you can pay in almost any currency you want. To sum up, I recommend the hotel to families since we had a nice holiday and apart form the language problems there were not many negatives and if , only minor ones. And one more thing - I was a little worried about the security of the place but every hotel had their own security guards and there were some police men walking around in the evenings. So no worries there in the end.
