Michael and Ross, our hosts, are lovely people – very friendly and helpful. They took us on a tour up to Fletcher Bay so that we could enjoy the Coromandel Coastal Walk and picked us up at the other end. We had a fabulous day with an interesting commentary from Michael. Full marks. However, we felt that the rooms were looking...

Hi Philip, We appreciate client comments, and thank-you. With regard the rooms,as you would have seen, the color scheme, was simple beige, with good quality washable paint, to lighten the units, using the accent colors from window curtins, floor coverings and furniture, the beds are near brand new,the lighting was update together with all of the above only 3 years ago. The 2 seater dinning...

Four self-contained units separate to the house which gives you independence. Michael and Ross very kindly put the lights on down the drive as we arrived in the dark and the heater on in our room as we stayed mid-winter. The units must be insulated as we were warmer over the two nights there than we are in our Auckland...

Thanks for your review, on rereading it, I see you write ,that there is"no views from the units or breakfast room. May I say I wish to correct the comment The unit No 4 you stayed, has windows in the west wall looking out over the garden & onto a distant view of Wanganui Island in the Coromandel Harbour and...

Warm welcome on arrival from our hosts. Clean and comfortable units, separate from the house. Breakfast served in the conservatory of the main house by Ross and Michael. Our hosts were a fund of knowledge and good raconteurs. We could have stayed longer, plenty to visit in the wider area. I note a previous contributor mentioned the WiFi and it...

We (2 couples) stayed here for 3 nights. Michael and Ross were excellent hosts and were a fund of information about the area. There are 4 ensuite units separate from the main house. They each have a fridge, microwave and full set of crockery and cutlery. There is no air conditioning but a fan is provided. Breakfast is served in...

The owners were great, very helpful in guiding us what to see and do. The units are separate from the main house, clean and well maintained, although I didn't like the blanket and bed spread set up, never feels to me as clean as a freshly washed duvet cover. Wifi was also trying, works towards the house but spasmodic in...

This was our first experience of NZ B & B accommodation in Feb 2015. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly with tips and guidance on local and national attractions and the breakfast offered was limited in choice to continental. The accommodation was in a separate semi-detached unit and unfortunately with thin adjoining walls, this made for a particularly noisy awakening...

Having changed our plans we arrived in Coromandel Town at about 6pm with no where to stay. Luckily we found the Breakaway B&B. Michael was at a tourism meeting when we phoned but he dropped everything to settle us in, offered to do washing! and recommended somewhere to eat. It was a lovely short stay, we were well looked after...

Thank you Michael and Ross for providing us with such a lovely place to stay. The unit was well appointed and maintained. The service was great and the breakfast all we could have wanted. We loved our chats over breakfast. It is an easy walk to town and lovely restaurants. Coromandel is a quaint town with an old worldy feel

It was my first B&B I've tried in New Zealand and I wasn't disappointed. This B&B is well-maintened with a generous breakfast (homemade jams, bread, cereals …). This everything in lovely surroundings, it was quiet and a flowered garden). Mickael and Ross are charming and considerate hosts.
