We loved this place for the bed, the view (from the bed), the sunset and the fact units are right on the water. The units themselves while large and serviceable are quite tired. If you can handle a things a little quirky stay here.

This place has become a real favourite of mine. I ALWAYS look forward to my time at the Seaspray!! The owners are SO friendly and treat you like family. I love going to sleep to the sound of the waves as the tide moves in and out! Heaven on earth!

The unit felt like it hadn't had a good clean for some time. There were cobwebs everywhere, the curtains were dirty and floors were not clean. Furniture was well worn. Crockery, cutlery and utensils didn't feel clean so we had to wash things before using them. We had really been looking forward to our two nights here but unfortunately they...

We came to Coromandel on a Saturday without a reservation and knowing that rain was in the forecast. So all we needed was a decent room with a view of the ocean without paying a fortune. That's exactly what we got. Thank you, kind hosts!

Wow, I must say I'm shocked to see any good reviews for this motel. For us, our experience was awful. In fact, I think it was the worst room that we've ever stayed in. Granted, it was winter and dark when we arrived and was still dark when we departed in the early morning, so the view was irrelevant to...

We were going to drive back to Auckland after exploring the area, but stopped because of the beautiful location, luckily getting the last room. The owners were great hosts, very friendly and helpful with ideas for the area. We were metres from the water, awesome sunset! The king bed was very comfortable and the bedroom and lounge room looked out...

This motel is homely and comfortable with very caring owners who go out of their way to ensure your stay is enjoyable. We had a two bedroom unit which was well laid out and with having the ranch slider off the lounge gave us a lovely view of the sea. Good to be able to walk out of the unit...

We booked The Seapray motel from the info centre in Thames. It was suggested That we pick up provisions. Before we drove to the motel We were given a warm kiwi welcome by the lady who was looking after the motel for the owners. Don't expect a modern motel, it is clean, comfortable, and on a cold rainy night very...

My husband and I spent two nights here and really enjoyed it. There are only 6 rooms, each with a balcony and just 3 meters from the water. Several of the guests were successful at fishing right from their balcony. The owners are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They can answer any questions and are available to take care of...
