In a town that is just beginning to embrace tourism, this hostel is a fabulous place to be based to explore everything Manizales and beyond has to offer. I stayed for 3 nights and felt very much at home. Great breakfast, extremely helpful and friendly owner and staff and a huge variety of people staying. in addition, comfortable beds and hot showers! Definitely put this on your list!
This is by far the best hostel to stay at in Manizales. It's tranquil, with big rooms, comfortable beds and wide thick mattresses plenty of space, a great kitchen and enough shared bathrooms. The hostel is super clean, and easy walking distance to everything. Martha and Sandra are so friendly, warm, hospitable and kind they both welcomed me for my 2 week stay and I felt part of the family. Martha is bilingual which was a bonus for me but both helped me to improve my Spanish. They will help you with anything. The breakfast each morning is delicious eggs, toast/pan, coffee and a different juice each day. I miss Gizmo (the dog) and Agatha (cat) and the cuddles they give, and watching them play together is hilarious!! I highly recommend visiting Manizales and there is plenty to do or just relax at the Hostel... I highly recommend Hostal Kaleidoscopio.…
I highly recommend the stay at Hostel Kaleidoscopio. This hostel was the best hostel I've had so far in South America! The host and her volunteer are outstanding friendly, helping you with every question you have. She helped us booking further tours and accommodation , made reservations e.g. Also to mention is the breakfast you'll get every morning which is handmade (scrambled eggs, coffee con leche with toast and jam) and very tasty. It's not common that host's especially in S.A. are so open minded to help you in every possible way. Rooms are huge and very clean as well as the toilets! There's not much more to say than that I was very happy and, as I said before, definitely recommend it for you travellers.
Everything was good during our stay. Great hostel breakfast wich was included in the already cheap price per night. The staff were amazing aswell, helped us out with exploring the town and even booked our next stay during our journey. I really do recommend!
We spent 2 nights and we appreciated our time over there. The hotel is in the centre, very easy to find out if you arrive from the bus terminal. You take the aerocable, get out at the final stop (there is only 2!). You leave on the left the station and then after 15 min maxi you will reach the right street the hotel will be on you right 100m farer. We had a very warm welcome from Julian and the hostel was quiet, clean, everything convenient for us. Breakfast was also perfect for us. For few people who like staying in bed in the morning, of course as you are in the city center you might be disturbed by the street noices, but it did not affect me as we used to stand up very early.
