The staff is friendly and definitely want guests to enjoy their stay. They take pride in satisfying the guests. Food at the Greathouse, particularly dinner, was great. The chef prepared a whole Mediterranean Sea bass that was especially enjoyable. From our lunches , we can wholeheartedly recommend the fish burger, the fish & chips, and the sweet potato wedges (probably best sweet potato fries we’ve had).We had the Romance package inclusions. The island tour (botanical gardens, waterfall, mud baths, and volcano) was great as was the beach cabana and in suite couples massage. Our room attendants kept us entertained with lovely notes and a menagerie of towel designs. We stayed in one of the Grande plunge pool suites. The suite was very quiet and private. Hummingbirds flitted around the flowers that lined the privacy fencing. In addition to the pool, we enjoyed the hammock and outdoor shower as well as having morning coffee in the gazebo. While I rate it a 5, it was not flawless. The pandemic greatly impacted the island and the resort. Staffing was reduced because of the lack of tourism. While staff is being added back, it is not ideal yet. At this time, the resort is operating with a pool of butlers covering all the suites whereas before, each suite only had a small number of butlers that provided service. The old model provided more personal attention to needs and more of relationship between the guest and butlers. The current model sometimes leads to miscommunication or lack of attention to needs because of the number of different butlers involved. Let me be clear that this is not because the butlers (and the rest of the staff) are not working hard or trying to do right for the guests - I saw nothing but effort from those women and men. Management is aware of the issue and working to address it (2 additional butlers were added during our stay) while also balancing with tourism not being back to normal. The reason it’s a 5 even with minor flaws is we had a relatively minor issue occur, and staff & management went above and beyond to correct it. With our travels, we get asked regularly if we would go back to a place. We always say that there are so many beautiful places in the world to go and so we probably would not return. However, we found Serenity and St. Lucia special such that we already thinking strongly about a return visit.

We stayed at Serenity again this year March 2020 and brought 2 friends along with us that is how much of an impact this small piece of paradise had on us, we never usually return to the same place. It was great to see many of the same teams continuing to work there and provide true hospitality service one based on generosity, a warm and friendly welcome every time, special care and willingness to help. We loved being able to choose freshly cooked a la carte food every day and the humour of the waiting staff from Tessa, Titi, Chard through to Marista and Ginel, all guided by the expertise of Cathy and Natoya made it even better.. One thing for anyone wanting to truly relax and not have to do a thing spend a day in your own private beach Cabana with everything you need all arranged by your butler, we were lucky as Angus was our butler again this year and we love him. They even have hammocks in the sea now. If you love a Spa treatment or 3 then do not hesitate to arrange a relaxing facial or couples massage, Toyah and Alphia even come to your suite to do this. I would highly recommend Abigail though if you love reflexology. I even managed to collect and create my own towel zoo (sorry Vaniah and Karla in housekeeping for hoarding your towels), amazing how creative some can be! You know a place is well run when you see senior managers integrating with staff and guests alike, leading by example and engaging with people, not tucked away in an office. We will certainly come back once all this craziness around the world has settled down. Esther & Oliver

This place is absolutely amazing. My husband and I chose Serenity for our honeymoon and we are so happy we did. Everyone made us feel so welcomed. We had Coconut Jonathan climbing trees to get us coconuts and Lee making us amazing drinks, everyone in between treating us like family. We are already planning our anniversary trip back at Serenity.

My husband and I visited serenity for my 50th birthday. There was some preparation as far as downloading the negative covid results beforehand and getting a travel authorization form to travel here. Upon arrival we did have to wait about 2 hours in the the health screening tent before we could go to our resort. Once at the resort we were greeted with a warm welcome and fresh coconuts. We were taken to our room and told dinner reservations were already made for us. Most of our meals were eaten at the Great house - shout out to Kimberlee who waited on us a lot. The food was always excellent ( breakfast and dinner) . We did eat dinner one night at La Luna - this was extra but so worth it to have a private dinner on the beach. Calabash was also a good restaurant on site but it was on the family side so not quite as peaceful as the serenity side. The staff went above and beyond - I will try to remember their names but ones that stand out are Ethan, Delon, Mcarthy, Rosie, Vaniah, Fern, Kimberlee, Natasha, and everyone else that waited on us. The staff are all excellent and made you feel very welcome. The private beach cabana for the day was a definite treat and I do recommend touring Soufrie if you can- we enjoyed the botanical gardens. My recommendation is carry cash and especially smaller bills. A lot of the employees rely on tips ( drivers/ airport luggage handlers/ tour guides) and I wish we had brought smaller bills so we could have tipped more people. We did leave a tip at the end of the week for the butlers/ servers/ housekeepers at serenity. There is no ATM on site so bring cash for sure.Overall excellent experience and we were really sad to leave. The beautiful people of St Lucia will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you for a much needed get away!!!!!

My husband and I just returned from serenity after our “extended” honeymoon (was supposed to be a week and turned into nearly 3 due to covid). First, what a stunning resort. From the gorgeous pool to the romantic villa with the plunge pool. The Greathouse was truly a 5 star restaurant (both food and service). We really enjoyed being able to walk over to coconut bay and enjoy their amenities and restaurants, too. Our package included excursions that were once in a lifetime experiences and we were surprised to see that they made it so personal with each couple having their own taxi drivers! Not mention all of the other activities Serenity had planned for us (beach dinner, rum tasting, dj at the pool) Upon leaving, my husband tested positive for covid and we were blown away with the way that Chris (Serenity manager) handled everything. He kept us informed of everything and was with us every step of the way. Serenity had trip insurance built into our stay, and we had no clue about it so this saved us THOUSANDS of dollars. Throughout quarantine, all of the staff still treated us like royalty. For example- we asked for playing cards and they didn’t have them but McGregor, the butler, went out of his way to get them from town and delivered them to us the next day. We do want to give a special thanks to the following people who really made an impact on us during our nearly 3 week stay: Ginel (waitress who called to check on us every single day at 3pm when she arrived to work to make sure we were feeling ok and had ate lunch/ ordered dinner), The butlers (McGregor, Corniel, McCarthy, and Neil), room attendants (Hannah and Jakim), our bartenders who are masters at skinny margaritas (Delon, Ethan, Lee, and Lez), and Jonathan- the “coconut man” who was certain to have a fresh coconut with our favorite drink ready for us everyday. Thank you to the entire Serenity staff, many of whom I’ve missed. We made the best memories on our honeymoon and felt we were part of the family at the time of departure. We can’t wait to visit you again!
