Very relaxing break in this small friendly hotel. Not a lot to do in Carrbridge but it is handy for Aviemore & Inverness. It was nice to get a cooked breakfast delivered to our table rather than the drive up buffet version you often get. If you like a quiet peaceful stay this is the place to go.

This charming hotel is comfortable and welcoming. It's location - at the end of a lane - means there is no traffic noise and the setting is restful. Rooms are a generous size - no falling over cases - and everything clean with decent-sized bed and towels! Breakfast in the pleasant conservatory and again, absolutely no complaints about service or... More

Based on a recommendation from a friend, we stayed one night at the Fairwinds Hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. We were booked in the Strathspey room which was excellent and had a fabulous bathroom. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast was superb: a great choice for a small hotel and of outstanding quality. We plan to come... More

This lovely family run hotel is hidden off the main road. We booked in for one night. We had the strathspey room. This room was massive. Bedding was lovely, quilt was ace. Best nights sleep for a long time. There was tea/coffee facilities. Still/fizzy water. Home made cakes (yum yum). Bathroom is pure luxury. Twin sinks. Underfloor heating. Separate shower... More

Stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. Very nice relaxing and peaceful location. Hotel is small and room relatively cosy, but has all you need (including good shower facilities). Staff very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was included which was great, as it was made to order and of a good standard. Pub just down the road for dinner also highly... More

I was warmly welcomed when I arrived, and given good advice as to where to go for an evening meal. I was also offered a complimentary drink! My room (first on the left at the top of the stairs) had a lovely view out the back to trees and a pond. Very comfy bed and the room and bathroom were... More

Stayed last night on our way to the outer Hebrides, far exceeded our expectations. Our room was immaculate and the shower brilliant, everything was scrupulously clean. Breakfast this morning would have done credit to a 5 star hotel, my scrambled eggs royale ( with copious amounts of smoked salmon) were outstanding. There are lovely woodland works directly from the hotel.... More

We stayed at the Fairwinds Hotel in July for a night in the middle of a long journey, the room was very tidy, the home baking was a great touch and went down perfectly with a cup of tea. The location was nice and peaceful we got a brilliant nights rest before carrying on with our travel and the breakfast... More

This is an extremely well run, friendly and ideally situated bed and breakfast hotel. It's family run and the owners could not be more helpful and friendly. Our room was well equipped and spotless. The breakfasts were delicious and the attention to detail in the hotel is second to none. Ideally situated in the middle of Carrbridge, it's a super... More

We made a late-ish booking for one night as we had been given a voucher for wild-life watching evening nearby. The Fairwinds Hotel turned out to be the ideal choice. Peaceful and quite in a lovely setting just behind the main street in the village of Carrbridge. Excellent room with extra touches - home baking items, and complimentary mineral water... More
