Our three generation family, thirteen of us, stayed at this lovely house for a week. It is full of character, especially the dining room, which allowed all of us to sit around the dining table. The sitting room has an open hearth fire in which we burned logs. The large garden was a favourite with our five grandchildren who ran... More

Brilliant house for a large group of friends. Thank you to all who were able to help us out and fit in with our numerous requirements. The rooms were fantastic and the house had everything we needed including plenty of parking! The location and easily accessible attractions locally ideally suited all the different requirements of the group.

We stayed at this house while we was watching the world origteering championships. Great location, lovely views. Kitchen was very big enough room to cook for 12 and liked how there was a washer for washing our muddy clothes. The bedrooms was very spacious with own en-suites.

Home from home. Kathleen always gives us a warm welcome and her cooking is excellent. Away from the main road with lots of beautiful areas for walking - safe for children and dogs. Sitting room with log fire very welcoming and cosy on a chilly evening.

I have stayed at feith Mhor a number of times and you are always made to feel at home and well looked after by the hosts. The lodge is well placed in a quiet spot but close to the A9 for exploring the area by car or with plenty of good walks nearby. Aviemore is nearby with a number of... More

Unique location in the Cairngorms with ample facilities in this beautiful and cosy house. Great hosts who can give you lots of information on what to do in the area and have great knowledge of local wildlife. The cooked breakfast with blackpudding and a slice of haggis is a wonderful start of the day when going outdoors. And in the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in the 1870’s Feith Mhor (Fay Mor) is a charming and substantial country house taking its Gaelic name from its surroundings: great stillness. The house can be used for self catering and/or Bed and Breakfast and sleeps 11 +2, pets welcome. Set amidst delightful gardens and grounds it enjoys marvelous views to the West over the remote Monadhliath hills. Carrbridge is located in the Cairngorm National Park, 25 miles to the north is the capital of the Highlands, Inverness and 7 miles to the south is Aviemore, the Cairngorms and its ski-centre. Our area boasts a huge variety of wildlife and beyond the more common species of roe deer, red grouse and arctic hares are the more spectacular golden eagle, black cock and capercaillie. Up the glen large herds of red deer graze in the evening mist. A welcoming and comfortable base from which to enjoy the Highlands. ... more   less
