Very pleased we booked this accommodation. The rooms are nice and clean, the restaurant and bar are very cosy and the food was lovely. Great English Breakfast!! Will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone.

I was surprised to read some of the reviews, especially some people complaining about food being served on the wrong type of plate for their liking.....We arranged our weekend with other couples as it was a central place for us all to meet and we could not have had a better time. The place is beautiful and we just loved...

I visit the Thatched Cottage quite a bit as I meet a friend halfway between Bristol & Somerset. It's always had amazing service & good food since I've been going for the past 2 years but unfortunately it's gone downhill. The staff have changed & the service is poor, as is the food. I went last night & had curry...

I found the rooms very well presented although on a night you could hear people in the next room snoring and every time someone used the water you could hear it rushing, the food was good but the microwave seems to be a favourite thing to use, overall a friendly place to stay but I'd look else where next time.

We visited The Thatch with 3 other couples for 2 nights. We had a lovely stay, Morgan and Laura were excellent hosts. Our room was gorgeous, high vaulted ceiling and a massive comfortable bed!! We had dinner in the restaurant on Friday which was excellent and I would thoroughly recommend. Breakfast was equally as good, with nothing bring too much...

First Impressions: 9/10 Quaint cottage setting. Value for money: 9/10 Overall, the price was very reasonable. £80 for a table of 7 (inc. drinks) Presentation: 5/10 Served fish on a chopping board with chips in a 50p terracotta pot from Tesco. This, in my opinion, is too ''try hard'', and doesn't fit with its surroundings. Portion Size: 6/10 Overall the...

After a lovely day at the spa we came to our usual pubut for tea. Almost an hour to get a soggy fish and chips and a sub par chickpea burger. Almost ruined a lovely day. The only saving grace was the fact it wasn't busy, so not many others were disappointed. Just the two tables next two us, one...

We arrived Friday evening and were greeted with a friendly welcome from the owners, Laura and Morgan and cosy seats by the open fire...followed by tasty dinner in the restaurant and a few drinks in the bar. We had a good sized room with a large and very comfortable bed for the night, and I slept for a solid eight...

We stayed here on a weekend to meet friends and go to the antiques fair. The rooms are lovely, we had the Godminster, huge bed, gorgeous high ceilings, lovely toiletries, couldn't fault it except that every time we had a shower it was barely warm, our friends said the same about their room, very strange as the water from the...
