Bowlish House is a gem! A beautiful Georgian property being lovingly restored. The breakfast was very good. All top quality ingredients. Wifi is complimentary but very slow. We loved the hotel but I'm afraid we couldn't say the same for Shepton mallet. The town centre was very dilapidated and run down, lots of closed down shops/pubs. My advice would be... More

Renovated by the very welcoming hotel owner to an extremely high standard, we can thoroughly recommend this Georgian house. Our room was immaculate with attention to detail - crisp, white bed linen, fluffy, white towels in the bathroom and a delicious full English breakfast prepared to our liking each morning. We will certainly return next time we visit Somerset. Sincere... More

Had 1 night here with my Husband. Very warm welcome from the hosts. Our room was large, comfortable and the shower was superb. Loved the old decor, being a bit of a porcelain collector myself, it was right up my alley. Delightful bfast cooked to order in the conservatory. I highly recommend the B&B despite the creaks! It added to... More

A good hotel with a friendly atmosphere and a great breakfast. Room good with high ceilings and nice ensuite and very comfy bed. Only thing stopping 5 stars was restless guests above with creaky floorboards. Hotel was convenient for both Wells and Bath

I stayed here with my two younger daughters aged 11 &14 years old. The B&B is decorated fittingly throughout the property. Our room was of a good size, plenty of cupboard space, extra blankets, tea making facilities, complimentary waters and biscuits. It even had a well stocked mini bar. The beds were very comfortable and we got a good nights... More

Visited here with a group of friends for Sunday lunch. 8 of us in total. Excellent experience from beginning to end. The place was very busy with another large group celebrating a significant family birthday and there were quite a few other diners. We had drinks on arrival and a chance to view menus. Two courses for £14.95 and £17.95... More

We stayed at Bowlish House to attend a family wedding nearby & were amazed at how lovely the hotel is. Gorgeous period building - with wonky doors & floors which play havoc with your balance after a couple of drinks - fun & welcoming hosts, comfy four-poster & plenty of hot water & fluffy towels (this is very important to... We had a wonderful stay. Room very comfortable, breakfast brilliant. First class service and very friendly and helpful staff. We will return again in the future. Location was also very close to Wells where we visited for the day and recommend a visit

We were looking for somewhere special for 17 of us to eat lunch to celebrate my father's 80th Birthday and we were not disappointed. Service was friendly and efficient. As we were a large group there is always a tendancy for the food to be served slowly and the food then gets cold. This didn't happen as they had plenty... More
