My wife and I called in on the off chance one Sunday afternoon for a bite to eat and a drink or two. We were greeted by Matt who introduced himself and his father Peter. They made us feel so welcome as we were new to the area. We had a traditional roast beef dinner, and it was cooked to...

As a site, this is way too expensive for what you get. The prices are up there with the caravan club but with none of the luxuries. The electrics look like they have seen better days and the pitches are unkempt. Although the address is Bridgnorth, unless you have transport it is not walkable in the winter or when the...

We had been cycle touring and had had a long hard day. We had been warned that food was only going to be served till 7pm as it was a Sunday and we arrived late at 7:20pm. The landlord could not have been more welcoming. He allowed us to pitch our tent - discussed what food he could 'rustle' up...

We toured the UK & Rep of Ireland for 4 weeks in a motorhome. We searched without success for a camp ground with a (preferably old) hotel nearby. On the last night of our trip, we literally stumbled on the Half Way House & caravan park. Proprietor Matt Williams welcomed us warmly. After setting up camp, we had dinner &...

I was booked into the hotel whilst walking the Shropshire Way. The greeting was warm and friendly, the room and facilities were clean and comfortable and the evening meal and breakfast were superb. Would happily stay here again.

This was a last minute booking so we had to take what was left, on arrival we were told that our pitch was hardstanding to hardstanding we thought that it was a little impractical as we have 2 dogs and we were not sure how we were going to manage securing them. We were met by the gentleman than runs...

It was cold, wet and windy on our stay but the welcoming was incredibly warm and friendly. The inn was quaint and rustic with a huge fire blazing on our arrival. Matthew was eating his dinner when we arrived yet left it to show us the caravan pitches, washrooms etc. Such a lovely, friendly welcome! The washroom was so clean!...

Myself and my partner came to the halfway house campsite to tryout out caravan for the first time. We were impressed with the friendly welcome that we received of both Peter and Matthew. It was important to us that our 2 dogs were OK to come on holiday too, but they exceeded our expectations when we were informed that our...

We stayed at this site on 31May15 and unfortunately would not return. It's unfortunate as the primary reason is nothing to do with the owner or site but the proximity to where a large pack of fox hounds are boarded. The noise of the dogs barking is every 3 hours through the night and is extremely disruptive making it difficult...
