We stayed at the Westleton Crown for three nights last week. We chose the hotel mainly because it is dog friendly and also for its proximity to Aldeburgh and Dunwich as we love the beach there. Firstly, it is lovely to stay somewhere where your dog is not just tolerated but welcomed! So unusual in the UK and it really... More

Many thanks for your feedback regarding your recent visit. I am surprised and disappointed to read that your room was not cleaned each day. All our rooms are cleaned on a daily basis so I am so sorry if we missed your room. The feedback we get the most praise for is the cleanliness of our rooms and public areas... More

We ate here (myself, husband and in-laws) unexpectedly, as we'd tried a few other pubs local to where we were staying, but none of them had capacity to feed us! The menu had a nice variety of choices. The food was good, but nothing special. For main, I had the special of cod loin with crushed potatoes, seasoned veg and... More

Popped in on Saturday afternoon to book an early evening table in the bar where dogs are welcome. Reserved table was easy to spot with a water bowl for our dog close by. The champagne was nicely chilled and Pino grigio cool crisp and dry. Shandy I am reliably informed was lovely. There was a slight mix up by the... More

We booked this at the last minute as we made a spur of the moment decision to visit Minsmere bird reserve. We were expecting a village pub, but found so much more. Very comfortable room, nice bathroom, and a good restaurant. The staff were professional and friendly. The rooms are spread out over several blocks, so we did not wake... More

Booked for Sunday evening after seeing menu outside day before but once at table we were given a limited menu with limited adaptable gf choices. We ordered and waited, then a basket of bread was plonked on the table, considering I'm coeliac we were surprised at this. Our main course arrived with no 'enjoy your meal' or smile. The food... A very pleasant stay and our dog was actually made very welcome instead of being tolerated - which was a huge plus. Room was clean and well equipped but for the money we paid we expected more and for it to be spotless which it wasn't. The breakfast on the first morning was really very good, not so great on... We had 2 nights in one of their smallest rooms but it was lovely. Super comfortable, fabulous home made biscuits ( plus biscuits, bowls and towel for the dog), complimentary water and white company toiletries. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble and the food was wonderful ( the chicken caesar salad with tempura anchovies... More

Popped in for lunch on our way to an overnight stay at a local campsite. Very friendly staff who were very obliging with our dog giving her 4 treats!!! Bearing in mind we were in the bar area, little details such as bread whilst we were waiting, arrived very promptly. Meal was good - home cooked ham and the burger... More

We stayed at the Westleton Crown for 1 night on a cosy break deal where you agree to dine there for your evening meal, which seems really good value compared to their normal rates. On arrival, we were given a brief tour, were able to choose a table for our evening meal and then shown to our room - where... More

Helpful and friendly staff. Booked last minute and upgraded to a suite room on arrival. Lovely big room in the courtyard which was quite, clean and fresh with little extras such as home made biscuits and sloe gin! Roll top bath in the bedroom and wet room downstairs with plenty of towels and robes. Huge comfy bed with crisp white... More
