We were 7 people with an Overseas Adventure Travel group, so our guide translated as necessary. The hotel was lovely, and had a Turkish atmosphere, with typical decor - no cookie-cutter rooms. Air conditioning was good, and necessary on days that were over 90 degrees! Beds were comfortable, with pillows of different softness available. Service was friendly and helpful, with...

EXCELLENT POSITION on the main road junction in front of Abraham's Carp Pool and surrounding park. Like many hotels in this part of the world its standard doesn't quite meet its pretentions. Although the El Ruha sells itself as 4 star, its tired appearance takes the gloss off and it doesn't quite make it. Nevertheless, as long as you dine...

I stayed in Room 302 for one night after having moved from the Manici Hotel. The hotel is in a very good location - easy walking distance to restaurants and points of interest. The bedroom was large and well-appointed, with a comfortable king size bed. The bathroom was a nice size with a tub/shower combination. However, the tub had very...

What a fascinating place. First place visited upon arrival at Sanliurfa, was escorted there by our host Hami, we were in need of a cold drink and some good coffee and was not disappointed. We sat outside in a wonderfully decorated covered courtyard adjacent to the Hotel restaurant and were served ice cold fresh Lemonade, Turkish coffee and finished off...

El Ruha is right across from the famous "fish pool", the most historic part of Urfa. Its an excellent location, walking distance to the bazaar and the old quarter. The room are comfortable, but a bit musty and the first one I was offered, smelt of cigarette smoke, I was immediately given another one, the staff are very friendly and...

I had a one night stay at the El Ruha hotel and was very satisfied. It is centrally located which meant walking distance from anything significant in Urfa. Reception staff lacked English but I didn't have to say much anyways. I had a lovely, large room with a clean bathroom. In fact, it was beautiful! Dark wood features, draperies to...

We stayed here because there aren't a lot of choices in Urfa and this seemed like a chance to mingle with the local culture. While we did see some weddings here, the place was quite unkempt and old. The rooms had many malfunctions and in the heat of Urfa, a broken A/C was the straw that broke the camels back....

The hotel is really quite magnificent.Large reception areas all paneled in dark wood,as are the rooms.I had a big room with good views and for once the bed was actually soft,The service is good but I was fortunate to have my tour guide as the English spoken was rudimentary. Breakfast for a Turk would have been classified as very good,but...

I really enjoyed my two nights here at the Hotel El Ruha. My room was huge with a spacious attached bathroom, wonderful beds (much softer than the usual granite slabs in most Turkish hotels), good pillows, and a great view of the park across the street. I could walk to absolutely everything! A terrific location. Dinner was certainly plentiful and...
