Detailed Reviews
The room was reasonably clean. The bed was comfortable. The room was large. The bathroom was clean and the shower good. However, the reason I was glad to just spend 10 hours there was it was bleak and vaguely depressing! A large room with a dark laminated floor and no rugs to break it up. Beige walls, beige ceiling. A sofa and chairs, but hard. No kettle or drinks, or any little touches to make it any more than a room for the night.
Breakfast was a buffet, hot food was cold and greasy.

Dear Jennyanne6, Thank you for your review. Too bad you found the room gloomy. Perhaps for a next time you can ask for a kettle at the reception. We hope to see you again. Kinds regards, Fletcher Hotel Het Witte Huis.

The hotel staff (reception, restaurant and bar) are very kind, friendly and will try to help as much as possible. The hotel is very nice. Very good location in the center of the Netherlands. The prices for the stay are very reasonable. It is recommended to improve the level of cleanliness of the rooms - not enough.
Missing kettle, glasses, coffee / tea in the room.
I would definitely recommend to anyone who asks me about a good hotel in the center of the Netherlands.

Stayed here for five days with the family just at the beginning of the Coronavirus lockdown. The room was spacious and clean, the staff friendly and very client-minded and price was reasonable. The last day the hotel had to close and we had to transfer to another Fletcher hotel, and the staff went really out of their way to make the transfer as easy as possible. If you"re looking for a quiet and nice stay near Utrecht or vicinity this one is a solid option.

I stayed here during a 2-day trip: Amsterdam - Utrecht.
While being located not too far from either city, the hotel is nice and not too expensive either.
The rooms we got were located in seperate buildings which was nice but also felt weird at first.
Rooms weren't cleaned sufficiently: found a spider and several webs. Bathroom is decent but does lack a hanger for you handtowel which is inconvenient.
The bathrooms window has a shutter on the inside but when opening this we found a single glassed filthy window.
Windows in front of the room do not offer a anti-insect plate which left us with some musquito's.
Apearently this happens quite often as the main lamp did have some blood on it of what appeared to be a musquito smashed down.
No minibar is provided in the room, neither are laundrybags (which werent even available at the reception)
Breakfast is good but due to a lack of personell not always maintained as it is supposed to be.
Restaurant offers nice food, nothing too special just a decent meal. Please be advised a surchase is asked when chosing certain dishes from the menu.
Our stay wasn't that expensive so it's a good hotel for it's price. But I would love to see it being maintained a little bit better as wel as somehow being better equipped.

The previous reviews are completely out of date and all has changed considerably. Since the re-opening and re-modeling I have stayed here twice and will come back when I need to be in the area.
Hotel now is part of the Fletcher group of hotels. A relatively new and fast growing chain of 3 and 4 stars hotels. Reception is friendly (as staff is in general), allocation of room effective.
The second time staying I booked a room as special deal and got a room in the main building which was on the 2nd floor and not that large. It though had all I needed (one though could have turned up the heating for rooms to be let). Most negative was the size of the shower room (for a guy of 190 inconvenient). Services as breakfast and lunch/dinner were good, nothing to complain about. Check out fast and correct!
The first time I had my stayed booked via the hotel website, no special deal that time. Thus I got one of the rooms in the annex buildings (they have 3 motel-like annex buildings which have parking space in front or very close). Much bigger in space then the room in the main building!
Whether one had a room in the main building or (better) annex buildings, all mattresses were very comfortable! The bed covers were just ok (meaning they could have been better).
By the way, everywhere free internet. The only annoying thing was that, when one switches off the iPad, phone or whatever (sleep mode), one needed to login again and again.

Please do not make the same mistake I made. The hotel (including the staff & management) need to have special training for hospitality & customer services. I never been in such dirty hotel in my life. The hotel shall have 1-star and Not 4-stars.
Even 1-star is too much. Manager was one of the most arrogant persons I ever met in my life. Recommend to replace manager & staff and make new renovations for all rooms if you need to call this hotel a 4-stars one. From my side, NEVER Fletcher hotels, NEVER Het Witte Huis hotel in my life.

Response from Fletcher H, Front Office Manager at Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Het Witte Huis
Responded Oct 20, 2017
Dear guest, Thank you for your patience. To bad to read this since we have given you another room during you stay which was a good solution for you. It was nice to meet your family and we had a pleasant talk during your stay. The room will be refurbished now and is closed for sale for a while. The other room was luckily okay. Photo's where made after using the room and in the room which was before switching rooms. As mentioned we are now giving the room an upgrade. Thank you again for staying in our hotel.

This was a very nice stop-over. The main building looks inviting, has a nice bar and restaurant. The rooms are in fact little cottages. The beds were so comfy! The bathroom was quite up to date. Breakfast was above average. Staff were nice. Nothing to fault, really, and much to like.

Book the hotel as we had no other options for hotel that accomodates 3 adults in a room. We thought that the hotel is quite expensive. The room was large, Ok bathroom but breakfast was poor. We arrive at 9:45am (breakfast is until 10:30am) but alredy not much left. We struggled connecting to the wifi during the stay. Would not recommend this hotel.

A very pleasant hotel and very good value. Breakfast included in the price and there was a good choice of hot and cold food. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had an excellent meal. Our room was in a separate block, ground floor with parking outside. The area is lovely and the trees were particularly beautiful in their autumn colours.

Stayed here for 1 night with a friend. We had room 406 which was in one of the seperate buildings. The room was fine. It was clean, spacious and had a very nice and big shower. The bed was comfortable. It is situated between Amersfoort and Soest. Breakfast was fine, staff helpfull and friendly, especially staff at breakfast! Would stay here again.
