We stayed at the Wiemsel for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. I want to split the review in hotel and restaurant because we experienced them differently. So, the hotel: The rooms were spacious with airconditioning and recently renovated. They were very comfortable and offered all we needed, with a terrace outside with nice chairs to sit in the...

Our first stay at Parkhotel De Wiemsel dates back to 2008 and we kept going there because the little city of Ootmarsum is pleasant and the area is unspoiled for bicycle tourists. Moreover De Wiemsel had a Michelin star restaurant "De Wanne". It was with sorrow that we learned the hotel had gone into receivership. Recently we read that the...

My wife and I stayed at the De Wiesel many times before it was colosed down and became the new Parkhotel de Wiemsel after a complete renovation. Before we liked the cozy atmosphere, the large indoor pool and the location in Ootmarsum with its many galleries, boutiques and cafés. We did not like the rooms and the decoration which seemed...

It's been a lot of years since we went there, 1997, I believe, but this hotel has been the subject of our stories so many times I can't count. We went with one other couple; we arrived in a rental car and when we pulled up in front, a gentleman came out in a spiffy uniform and said "Good afternoon,...

We had suite 35. It has a small sink, counter top and mini fridge; a small receiving area with a couch, table and 2 chairs; a...

Just arrive, relax and enjoy! Nestled in the meadows and woods of the Twente region on the outskirts of the artist town of Ootmarsum is an ideal place to relax, rejuvenate and experience maximum enjoyment: The "Parkhotel de Wiemsel." The hotel was completely renovated and re-designed in summer 2015 with an abundance of love and personality. The rambling parkland surrounding the entire property is truly unique. Room to breathe freely - that is the program - the relaxed generosity is reflected in the 56 rooms, junior suites and suites as well. Every suite has its own sun deck with direct access to the park, with many beautiful places to enjoy nature. In addition to the outdoor pool, the hotel has a large indoor pool, sauna, steam bath and solarium. With its many beauty treatments, soothing massages and hair stylist, the "Spa & Wellness de Wiemsel" perfectly rounds off the all-around wellness program. Our master chef and his creative kitchen team in the "Restaurant de Wanne" are passionate about cooking for you. The dishes are simple and honest; but traditional food in an innovative style will often surprise you, too. ... more   less
