We had the room on the highest floor and it's perfect. Even though you have to get up a flight or two of stairs before reaching your room, but the setting up was just perfect. Large, nice bed, with big comfortable bath for 2 (not your typical hotel bath!). Imagining having champagne in the bubbling bath, followed by your own... More

The staff at this gastronomic Mecca are truly outstanding, and their hospitality transcends every aspect of the restaurant and hotel experience, from the breakfast to the exquisite, personalised dinner service. It's what every Michelin establishment should be: crafting an experience that is so removed from normal life that for a few hours or a weekend you forget all the troubles... More

We had one night with our son 3 years. The bedroom was very nice, big, bath, 2 showers and a nice view on the countryside. The night was a bit noisy due to a festival in the village and the windows not double glasses. Breakfast was very good. Not ideal place with children for restaurant and breakfast.Recommended for couples.

I stayed at Bij Jef for two nights at the end of a solo bike trip around Noord-Holland as a treat to myself. It was an extremely indulgent treat! The breakfasts and 7-course dinner with wine pairings were impeccable. I was presented with the menu for the 7-course dinner (really more like 12 courses by my counting!) as a nice... More

We booked into the hotel for three nights, and were overwhelmed with the experience. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, with good amenities. The staff is accommodating and very well trained to handle questions and requests. The owners are actively engaged with their guests and the pride they have in the hotel/restaurant is clearly on display. The breakfasts are... More

This was the third time we went to "Bij Jef" and again we were in 7th heaven. Jef and his wife Nadine, together with their staff, see to it that you feel completely relaxed, that you can enjoy the surroundings and enjoy a spectacular dinner and a tremendous breakfast, not a buffet but served on the table. You really should... More

We went to Bij Jef (At Jef) for 3 days and booked an arrangement: 2 nights sleep, 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners: in one word: Phenomenal! For the hotel part (see my separate review for the restaurant) the name 'Bij Nadine' (At Nadine) would be better. Jef is running the kitchen and Nadine is the hostess of both the hotel... More

My wife and me spend the weekend of Pentecost there. The package of three nights, three dinners and breakfasts had an excellent price:quality ratio. The rooms were not so much to our likings (quite modern and minimalistic decoration), but they were spacious, quiet and with all amenities. The private parking place is a must, since the location of the hotel/restaurant... More

This was our first visit to Texel and staying at Bij Jef made it memorable. When we arrived our room was not yet ready but we were offered a drink in the lovely lounge area. Room stylish and comfortable, with Nespresso machine and double walk-in shower. Seven course meal with accompanying wines (kudos to chef's wife, an award-winning sommelier) was... More

Me & my wife loved the simple but stylish design on the newly built rooms. The attention to detail is as immaculate as the food in the downstairs restaurant. Location is excellent for cyclists coming from the mainland and it served great for us as a base to explore Texel from. The added bonus of being able to walk upstairs... More
