Staff couldn't have been more friendlier or helpful. Our room on ground level looked out onto a view of Marina with the yachts/boats....quite lovely! Room was simply basic but clean fresh towels daily on our 5day/night stay, bedding changed after 3rd night. Hotel is tiled throughout so is noisier than others, especially when overnighters left at 5/5:30 am!! The sound... More

We stayed here for two nights on our Europe tour. Very enjoyable! Great pub and good food. The rooms are basic but have all you need. The hotel is well managed and the staff are friendly. The location is good. On the bus route to central Amsterdam.

We were on a coach tour and stayed 4 nights. It's better than expected. Room was big and clean. Most facilities were there so it was comfortable and convenient. Our room had a good view of the yachts and ducks waiting for food. Our dinner and breakfast were ok: something hot, different and filling. Didn't have time to visit Monnickendam... More

Just got back from a weekend tour of Amersterdam and Bruges with Andersons Tours who use this hotel. Hotel quite basic but you get what you pay for. Spent 2 nights there. Pleasant setting overlooking a marina. In need of some repair and updating as quite old fashioned but very clean. Walls in rooms are paper thin and the floors... More

Travelled to this hotel with Leisuretime. Found it to be better than expected, after reading all the negative reviews.Beds and towels were clean, but, hotel needs updating. Food was basic, with plenty of choices. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially,Kayleigh in the bar. Finally, the views from this hotel are stunning. The local village of Monnikendam is very pretty and... More

Stayed here recently for two nights via a National Holidays coach trip. This was my second visit. The hotel is traditional and rather old fashioned, but the room was very clean. The bathroom seemed to have been refurbished since my last visit a few years ago and was clean and up to modern standards. Sliding patio doors opened to a... More

We were told there had been improvemants We returned last week only to find the place was worse than ever. The rooms are even more basic. One towel per person a day. Food awful. Really really lovely. Gorgeous views, comfy beds, good food and had a lovely bathroom. I stayed here with national holidays, and I went to Amsterdam. I had a lovely stay. And I couldn't have asked for a better experience. And there were little gifts in the room as a welcome gift. Really lovely hotel.
