We stayed for 2 nights in a sea view room and it was just ok. Like a worn down Holiday Inn. Hardly a 4 star. Carpets stained and worn out. Room requests not heeded. Toilet had a bit of smell to it so had to keep restroom door closed. Not a recommended stay.

We chose this place as not many hotels on the coast actually offer a sea view from your room. This place did. But we requested a high floor room as we are light sleepers. We were placed on the first floor right above the entrance and next to the main stairwell. No apology (and honestly some attitude from the young woman at reception checking us in). Just that the hotel was full. We had booked and prepaid month in advance but they could not figure it out still.

The sauna had a broken steam room which smelled of urine. The dry sauna and infrared are quite small and must be booked in advance.

Breakfast was fine. Difficult to find tables at times so we started bringing trays up to our balcony instead. Much more enjoyable that way.

Having said that a/c worked well and there was sufficient storage space.
Housekeeping could do to wipe the shelves though, lots of dust and hair there.

This was our first visit to this gem. Nice service, lovely clean rooms. Breakfast has a good selection. We had a dog with us and the room is suited for that. We will be back the next time we're in Egmond aan Zee.

Stayed for 2 night in my old home town, best place to stay in Egmond.
location, service and rooms were fine, bit over priced but end of season.
quality overall of hotel is excellent, incl room.
bit disappointed in breakfast as included in 200 rate.
pretty basic and even dinner quality was average.
i would bring Food options to higher level to make this a real top place to stay.

We waited very long for 3 pizza and 2 tacos... 1 hour and 15 minutes and the waiters did not apologise. The waitress and waiter were a bit rude about it. Food was nice, but a bit simple. The waiter comes and argues about it several times... Ruined the night a little !

I stayed in this hotel only for one night. I was travelling with my colleagues and we all enjoyed the place. The hotel is really new, rooms are large and very comfortable with nice regulable lights. The toilet is big and new too. Very nice shower. No fridge in the room but you can drink tap water. Beds are large and comfortable with many pillows. I was a bit cold during the night so I put on another blanket. It can be windy and cold during the night in Egmond also in summer. Anyway, the hotel is in front of the ocean and you can enjoy amazing views. It is very close to the centre of the town and many restaurants are nearby. Better to ask for a room that faces the sea and avoid the ground floor. My room (234) faced an internal courtyard and it was very silent. Breakfast was good, tasty and complete (cakes, cornflakes, bread, jams, eggs, cheese, ham, coffee, tea, juice, fruit, yogurt and many other things). I strongly suggest to go to this hotel !

My cousin booked this room for me, as it is close to his flat. The room was very nice in a modern design. The bathroom was spacious. The breakfast was served in the restaurant downstairs. The buffet was copious and with ample choice from warm breakfast to rolls and cereals. I took my breakfast with a view on the Northsea.

This hotel is definitely one of the better hotels in Egmond, perhaps even the best if you do not have exotic tastes but it is difficult to give it a top rating. Consider the following:
On the plus side:
The rooms are very good, clean, well maintained, spacious bath rooms etc.
The location across from the beach (and views if you are facing the sea) is perfect, especially given that you are not in the village center but a five minute walk away.
The interior is tasteful, modern and comfortable.
But somewhow it failed to deliver on many little things:
- they took payment for the full amount of the stay before we could check in (because our rooms was not ready yet) I have only had this happen to me in cheap hostels
- the breakfast buffet is a perfect case study of food & beverage profit maximisation: mediocre coffee, mediocre cheese, choice of very plain yoghurts, cold cuts and cereals and fruit salads consisting of a combination of a lot of canned and a little fresh fruit. For undemanding tourists this probably ticks all the boxes but after paying the highest hotel rate in the village I felt short-changed.
- the restaurant is in the hotel and is not cheap but you cannot charge things to your room because they are (I think) a separate business. The menu has a wide variety of dishes but lacks imagination while the wine list is not poor but very limited with a small selection and nothing imaginative and not one desert wine.
If those shortcomings are no problem for you then this is a top hotel - as the mainly German customer base will confirm.

This is a very nice hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are refurbished with style. Finishing is of high standard. Bathroom has a separate toilet. Located at the beach boulevard this is a no brainer.
Nice restaurant nearby named ‘zilte zoen’.

We stayed here for the second time. The facility is well maintained. The rooms are beautiful and views amazing. However the breakfast is I would say basic. A. It better than in a youth hostel. People are walking around with black try's to carry their plates. Cold cuts choice = 2. Coffee is excellent. In short: 4 star room, 2 star breakfast.
