Our room was lovely and breakfast was scrumptious! Our hosts were so helpful with local dinner reservations since we were there on Good Friday, a public holiday, and many places were closed. Richard was very informative about many things related to New Zealnd around the breakfast table each day. The grounds are beautiful and such a relaxing place to spend... More

We just had the pleasure of staying again at the Wairepo House after staying before three years ago. The hosts at this establishment could not be more friendly and accommodating. The rooms are beautifully maintained and full of special amenities. The gardens surrounding the house give the true feeling of being in an English garden and breakfast is an absolute... More

Absolutely lovely stay at Wairepo House, Richard the host was great at sharing local tips every day during breakfast, always around if we needed anything. Reminded us that the best part about staying in small lodges and houses is meeting the locals. The house is set in an apple orchard, which is the family business lovely rooms and amazing home... We had a lovely two day visit - wandered around the garden for a surprise at every turn. Had a deck off our room and doors that opened all the way to that deck which we enjoyed in the perfect weather - although it was a tad too cold to enjoy the pool. The breakfasts were wonderful, delicious and plentiful.... More

The welcome was wonderful as was the stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Joy and Richard who booked tours and dinners for us and made sure we knew where we were going. The house is very comfortable, quiet and relaxing, just what you need after a hard day's excursion. This location should certainly be on anyone's list. Thanks Joy... More

The property is absolutely beautiful. It's so peaceful and relaxing. The hosts, Joyanne and Richard are friendly, attentive and helpful. Joyanne helped us to make dinner reservation and book a trip to tour Able Tasman National Park area. It's busy season and it's no doubt that all reservations have to be made in advance. We would probably have trouble to... More

We stayed with a family of 5 (3 kids) for three days and were disappointed about the lay out of the room which had a double bed and a folding bed barely separated through a wooden fence. Very impractical with kids. The price level is not at all reflected in the services. The wifi (if any) is very poor and... More

We had a wonderful two-night stay. The setting among the apple trees and peonies was charming. Breakfast was fabulous. Our hosts were welcoming and engaging, and we had many interesting conversations. Thank you Richard and Joyanne for a memorable stay.

Wairepo House is a wonderfully, charming country B&B nestled on a two hundred acre apple and peony farm. The rooms are amazingly appointed, the setting superb and the conversations with Joyanne and Richard are stimulating. They have much to share so be prepared to listen and learn. The gardens, farm and Rosie the dog are memorable. We will return.
