Mock castle over 100 years old built as afamily home, great rooms brilliantly decorated and well worth the visit. We stayed 2 nights although in the annexe the room was very large, well heated and a comfortable bed, maybe the bathroom needed a little tlc it was not a problem. Great breakfast spread even if we were the only ones...

My husband describes the stay as "imagine you have a rich cousin who lives in a castle and you're visiting him." It's not a modern, immaculate, castle, but it feels real and lived in. It is family-run and they are incredibly nice, welcoming, and helpful. Good breakfast. Highly recommend.

My friend, daughter and I were on a "castle road trip" so obviously we needed to stay in a castle at some point. Lots of searching lead us to Kasteel Geulzicht. It suited our needs, specifically location and price. We arrived to find such a welcoming host, who offered my daughter postcards of the castle, showed us into the lift...

As soon as we entered the drive and spotted the building, we were hooked. You would never guess from its venerable outward appearance and interior that it is not, at least, late medieval, and the jovial manager who warmly greeted and then proudly showed us around would not have been out of place in an earlier age. Our room had...

My son and myself stayed here 17th April for two nights, while visiting to watch Amstel Gold cycle race. The castle is fabulous with large reception rooms, with large sofas and welcoming atmosphere. Rooms spacious and extremely clean. Breakfast was very good with continual replacement food. The owners are really friendly, and serve some very good beer! As previously said,...

This hotel is very beautiful and has a rich history. The current owners have a passion to keep the building and its history alive. The rooms are spacious and have stunning views. But the rest of the castle is 'yours' too during you stay. Enjoy a drink or read on the leather sofas in two big main rooms on the...

The castle on the top of the hill was so silent that we thought we were the only customers. But that was untrue, which turned out next morning in the glamorous breakfast room. Our room was spacious and high, but not as stunning as the rooms in the commercial pictures. Well, old-fashioned and worn rooms are ok in castles.

Stayed here with friends at the end of November so we could visit the Christmas Markets in the caves. Caves were great, the market stalls were mostly garish plastic tat - very disappointing. The caves had fascinating charcoal wall paintings. The hotel is an amazing building, the public rooms are lovely and we sat in the big hall by the...

Positives: breakfast (rich and varied). Good location in the forest, with a beautiful view over the countryside. Overall Exterior was nice. Negatives: Rooms old and badly furnished, bathroom "prefabricated" (all plastic). Third bed was fake, it's a camping mattress (!). High price, compared to the services offered

Staying at this hotel was a real experience we will remember for a long time. We had never stayed in a castle and wondered what it would be like. The appearance of the castle is just as you would imagine a castle in a Fairy Tail. The entry hall and lounge are fantastic with great atmosphere. We stayed in a...
