Stayed for three nights. Exceptional place. Warm welcome on arrival, shown all round the house, encouraged to feel at home. Sumptuous lounges. Unparalleld views. Gorgeous gardens. Dined here on one night and the food was just perfect and the waitresses were spot on, efficient and eager to please. Fantastic place and would love to return

This was a top class experience. We booked 1 night but ended up staying for another as enjoyed the experience so much. The rooms and castle are of the highest quality and we were made to feel extremely welcome. The standout though was the location and grounds overlooking the Tamar river. There was so much history around the house and...

This wonderful, tastefully-restored, family-owned castle is a quiet retreat, nothing like corporate boutique hotels, in a prime situation above the River Tamar. There are 9, mostly large, bedrooms. We formed part of a group, many of whom are retired, and it suited our purposes perfectly. It looks like a home and feels like one, with two or three sitting rooms...

Extraordinary and delightful restored castle. Wonderful staff and very generous owner who takes pride in personally meeting every guest. We arrived for one Sunday night only so, as the staff go home early a beautiful meal was left for us to simply heat ourselves and enjoy in their own kitchen. A real treat. And the suite we were automatically upgraded...

Stayed last year and could not wait to return. Its so different, so special. A wonderful building which has been beautifully restored and spotlessly clean throughout. As a guest you are virtually given the run of the property and made to feel thoroughly at home. Great credit to the family and staff who positively ensure their guests want for nothing....

Little things are there to make you happy to be "home", the soap smells good, the bath towels are so soft and very large, the bath room is marvelous. The breakfast is all home made, and delightfull. The view is stunning. The bed is...

Well, where to start?? We've stayed at lots of '5 Star' places, all of which proclaim to be the best place to stay, but honestly none of them are anywhere near as perfect as Pentillie Castle. We arrived on a Thursday to be greeted by the most helpful people, instantly making you feel at home. Having booked an afternoon tea...
