Had the pleasure of being invited here with friends who were getting married in the grounds down by the river. Looked after from start to finish, this place made us feel like we were home from home! Relaxed, thoughtful, accommodating, well kept and presented, that's just the staff!! The property is beautiful and worth the cost. Special thanks to Lisa...

The drive from the main road to the castle is down a long driveway and the first views you get of Pentillie Castle do not disappoint. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Sam we both felt relaxed and were made to feel at ease with all. Our room ( Kitson ) was beautifully decorated and steeped in...

What an amazing place ! , we were greeted by Elle who could not have been more helpful and welcoming , sitting us down with a home made cream tea in a wonderful drawing room with blazing log fire . Our room ( stately proportions with bathroom of the same size ! ) was in the centre of the castle...

I never knew this wonderful place existed after living in Plymouth 34 years - it is truly magical. We went as a group to look round the gardens and have afternoon tea. Super tea in a large dining room - lovely staff - nothing was too much trouble and the grounds were superb. Apparently if you book direct with the...

We came yesterday as a group for afternoon tea and had a walk around the grounds beforehand. The grounds and surrounding countryside is stunning, parts of which have views right across Tamar valley. The afternoon tea we were served was delicious with plenty of sandwich in and cakes for everyone. The staff were also kind enough to give us a...

We hired the entire castle for a weekend party to celebrate our daughters birthday. Everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient. All the bedrooms were beautiful and the dining and sitting room were perfect for our party of eighteen. We would unreservedly recommend the castle for any group celebration.

Excellent evening, on arrival choice of artisan vodka or Gin aperitif, the food was absolutely fabulous from the canapés to the petits fours, together with an excellent wine list, lovely waitress who was attentive and polite. Pentillie has been sympathetically restored, the dining room has great atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyable, compliments to the chef.

...I would love to come to Pentillie. Glorious setting and brilliant staff that make you feel you are in your own home (in your dreams). Last night we experienced 'Eat the Season'. It was amazing - full of fresh, locally sourced ingredients and beautifully cooked and presented. We started with a very local (Saltash) gin served with orange and rosemary....

Quite the most beautiful place we have ever stayed and sadly for one dreamy night only. It's absolutely beyond compare and extraordinarily gorgeous! Our suite of three rooms was just sublime. Words alone do not do it justice. It's a magical place and I am so, so glad we watched the wonderful Delicious before coming here! Happy, happy, happy days.

This is a truly wonderful place. The tone is set as you drive down the long drive and the house and gardens are set out before you with the glorious Tamar Valley beyond. The owners and their colleagues are delightful and made us very welcome. The lounges and dining room are beautiful rooms. Our suite, Dewhurst, was stunning with a...

All 9 bedrooms are en-suite (some with Victorian style roll-top baths!) offering views over the River Tamar and surrounding woodland.
