We stayed here as an extended family(including a four yr old and baby) for two nights. On arrival we had tea and scones in the drawing room which after a long journey were very welcome. The rooms were extremely comfortable and we were delighted with the views and location. My daughter and son in law had a suite which was... More

I came with 2 teenage children & my elderly parents. The staff could not have been more welcoming or accommodating, to our every needs. Our bedrooms were beautiful, with very comfortable beds. We made use of all the facilities & enjoyed them all except the out door pool due to the weather...There is a real feeling of grandeur without any... More

With relatively high expectations, we arrived at this B&B one rainy afternoon. It is fair to say that all our expectations were met – the castle has a rich history both shown on all the pictures and stories in the hallway as well as on the DVD found in each room telling the story of how the current owners came... It is like staying in a good friend's country house, who have just popped out for the day. Could have stayed for a month! Would need that time to explore the gardens and estate and make the most of the lounge, open fires and bar!

What stands out for me the most after my stay at Pentillie Castle, is the perfect balance they have achieved between feeling you are in a stately home yet without any pretension. There is a real feeling of grandeur, yet you are made to feel so at home, mainly due to the amazing staff. We stayed at Pentillie for 1... More

Pentilley Castle is gorgeous, don't just take my word for it, stay in one of the gorgeous rooms, wonder around the stunning grounds, devour the amazing local food and drink. This privately owned estate is gorgeous, despite its grandure, you are still made to feel at home. We were lucky enough to come here to celebrate our friends 70th birthday... More

This place is really one of the best places I have been - and I like to travel a lot. Great service, very nice location. We have had a suite and it was really brilliant. We will come back to this place.

We were part of a classic car tour which stayed here in early July. The Castle experience is not like a hotel, but being a house guest. The house and grounds are superb, with a lot of walks you can do without leaving the estate, including mid 17th century buildings and the river Tamar. This is not your usual hotel,... More

We booked a weekend at Pentillie Castle only knowing it was near Cotehele House (National Trust) which it self is in a lovely part of Cornwall. All 9 bedrooms are en-suite (some with Victorian style roll-top baths!) offering views over the River Tamar and surrounding woodland. There is also a solar-heated outdoor swimming pool (open Apr-Sept). There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the local area, from fishing, cycling, hiking and golf to zip lining through the trees.
