We find Schiermonnikoog lovely and this hotel has the best location, staff , food price-quality wise in our opinion! We try to come as often as possible. The 5-day special is a lovely way to spend a hassle free midweek: breakfast, dinner, bicycles, bus and boat trip included! As Well as a free coffee and pie and a horse carriage...

The rooms are very clean and a lot of space. We had a three room apartment, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Staff is very friendly. The food in the restaurant is average, not too bad however, just not that wow factor (you don't have to eat there if you don't want to). Breakfast is good.

Very old fashioned beds! The wooden beds need to go please get rid of them. I know a bed is to sleep in, but you want to sit on your bed and the wooden side hurts, even with getting out ( and I'm quiet tall). It was raining on friday so a bit chilly, we decided to put the heating...

Oldfashioned hospitality in an oldfashioned hotel. Breakfast well taken care of, dinners very traditional as well. Rooms are, by now, seriously outdated. Rusty and rustic! It is comfortable, an easy walk to the beach. Very experienced staff.

With a warm week approaching we wanted to have a getaway to the sea. We booked this hotel last minute for a 3n/4d stay. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the main street of the island and about 15 minutes walk to the beach. We had a spacious room in the main building on the top floor....

IF I were Dutch, I could imagine this would be a place from childhood, where my family came every summer, complete with grandma and grandpa with long lazy days to this lovely island, either lounging at this cozy hotel, or at the wide beautiful beach a few minutes away. I did not have that experience being that I just arrived...

We went to have pancakes twice, the service was average. The atmosphere is good. It's located on the Badweg, the road that leads to the beach. We can't say anything about the hotel as we didn't stay there, but we assume it must be a very authentic place to stay. In 2013 it celebrated its 100th anniversary.

My family spent four nights in one of the larger ´garden rooms´ located in a 2-storey structure behind the main building. It's a little cramped for four (queen-size in main area, 2 singles in a separate bedroom), but since the island is great for exploring we spent little time indoors. Great location: the public bus stops in front of the...

October 24th we had lunch and dinner in this restaurant. Its inside atmosphere brings back the good old days of family holidays: the interior, decorating, the people. The food (we had veal liver with lard and onions + cod) was very tasteful and reasonably priced. Service is very friendly. If you like old-fashioned quality and a little bit of nostalgia,...

Nice people, GREAT breakfast, good rooms and excellent food. Combine this with an unbeatable terrace and nice atmosphere on the most lovely island of the Netherlands. We stayed for two days, three nights and started our early evening arrival with some drinks in comfortable seats in front of the open fire. Our room in the garden was very comfortable and...
