Horrible hotel, worst I’ve ever been! They were not respecting any of the COVID-19 rules, the restaurant of the hotel was always full, not keeping distance in any tables, a lot of people not wearing masks, and everyday a very big wait line to get a table! The food was also not good at all, horrible food and very few options! We were not able to even use the swimming pool, the hotel has a lot of rules that they don’t even respect, where they say you can’t reserve a place at the pool, but at 8 in the morning all the places are reserved with towels and they just say they can’t do anything about it! We reserved the hotel for 7 days but we only stayed for 3 days, that’s because it was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, if you plan on relaxing and have a good time don’t go to this hotel!

I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND Htop Caleta Palace Hotel in Platja D’aro. (READ THIS IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING STAYING AT THIS HOTEL). Me and my boyfriend went on the 24/08/2020 and we were supposed to stay 7 days at the hotel, but the experience was so terrible that we left early, staying only 4 days and ruining our vacation. It was honestly the worst experience I had with a hotel in my entire life. To start with, if you’re going expecting to use the pool, forget it. Ignorant people would place their towels to reserve the chairs of the pool (yes, ALL of them) in the middle of night. We woke up everyday at 8am and all the chairs were already reserved, even though there is a “rule” from the hotel saying that you cannot do that. We complained several times in the reception and nothing was done, so we payed for something that we couldn’t even use. Besides that, there were huge lines for everything, the hotel was completely full even though they couldn’t be because of covid-19. We had to stay in huge lines for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There were very few policies regarding covid-19 and most of them were not being respected. No social distancing, people not wearing masks while serving food, chairs from the pool extremely close to the other, tables of the cafeteria close to the other. The facilities are in need for a reform, especially the elevators. The food is not so good and we got All Inclusive but many things we had to pay separately anyway. Like all of that wasn’t already enough, on the last day something else happened that was just what we needed to leave the hotel definitely. We finally found two chairs in the pool, when two xenophobic guys came yelling at us saying that they had reserved the chairs. What happened is that there was wind that day and their towels fell on the floor and we didn’t see it. Even if they had reserved they were wrong because of the rule saying you cannot do that. We said that to them, and they started yelling, calling us names, threatening us and saying that if we didn’t leave the chairs they would beat up my boyfriend, they also mentioned that “we were not from their country and we don’t speak Spanish so we needed to stay quiet”. The life guard saw everything and did nothing while we were expelled from the pool and afraid the we would get beaten up. One more time, we complained about it in the reception and they said they couldn’t do anything. Clearly is a hotel that cannot guarantee safety for their guests (regarding violence or covid-19), and it seems that they only care about money and nothing else. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel, especially if you are in the risk group of covid-19 and if you are going expecting to relax and use a pool.

These protocols are in accordance with the requirements of the UNE technical specifications issued by the Institute of Tourist Quality. We are deeply sorry for the incident you described to us at the pool. Our colleagues explained to you that they could not expel any guest without witnesses or a police report. That is why our staff spoke with several witnesses, with the lifeguard and with staff from the pool bar in order to have an assessment. Likewise, we were interested in seeing the behavior of the guests and no out of place fact was observed. We hope that this incident does not stop you for a next visit to our country. If you want to save yourself from being angry, being ripped off and disappointed go anywhere else! We booked a a twin with sea view... what did we get? Single bed (135 cm - 50”) bed for two people. When we complained we we offer a twin with parking view. Calling the travel agent and talking to the manager on duty we finally got a twin with sea view. Room was dirty, old and shaggy! Windows were so dirty ! Disgusting! Not making anything up!!!! Look at the pics of the bathroom floor! Never seen bleach! Look at the bathroom window pics! Never been cleaned! Look at the pic! In the hallway we found a mop holder that’s been there for three days! Look at the Pic! Sheets on the hallway table! COVID protocol? Same dirty mat! Never cleaned nor was it ever with disinfectant! I Look at maids cleaning products not a single disinfectant! We had to wipe down and disinfect the room ourselves everyday! Not a four star hotel! Maybe hostel category for teens... Best part of the hotel was leaving!

We arrived at this hotel after booking via Love Holidays for an absolute bargain price. We weren’t expecting much at all to be honest - and we were very pleasantly surprised! Our flights (Ryanair) and transfers booked through Love Holidays were all seamless. We arrived at the hotel and they quickly showed us to our room. Our family of 4 had a very large room with two double beds made up and a huge balcony. It was fresh, modern and clean. We have stayed in some very nice resorts in the Caribbean and the room here was not short of the standard we are used to seeing out there. It was kept well cleaned by the maids throughout our two week stay. RESTAURANTS & BARS - The bar around the pool was often very busy, but the staff were friendly and as efficient as they could be. The alcohol on offer on the all inclusive is limited, but for the price we paid for the holiday we couldn’t expect anything more. The soft drinks were not branded, but again it was to be expected for the price. The main restaurant is very well organised. It gets busy but the staff handle it well. There isn’t tons of choice when it comes to food but we always managed to find something and certainly wouldn’t have gone hungry. POOL AREA - The pool area was very busy given it was high season, but it was very clean and the lifeguard was really really attentive. The beach is nice, but it is shingle so take beach shoes! The hotel is in very close proximity to the town of Platja d’Aro (literally the Main Street is outside the front of the hotel). It’s a lovely town with lots of bars, shops and restaurants. Plenty to do, even a funfair! The promenade is bustling on an evening and really nice to walk along. If the price was right we would most definitely return to this hotel. A little gem!

when we arrived our room wasnt ready so we were stuck waiting a few hours but once we were given a room it was spacious looked okay untill the rain arrived later on in the week wet floor and curtains can be doing with a little make over staff were amazing food was okay entertainment unless your french then dont bother wasting your time they were rude n ignorant as hell pushed in at bar and diner really sad but overall the staff were fab and helped us when stranded in the middle of the protests
