We have ZERO complaints, the Hotel is beautifully situated in the Cove @ Tamariu, literally on the beach. Clean, comfortable, sublime view from sea facing room, good food, great staff. Views from Upper level terrace (Bar) & Dining level below’s terrace are amazing. 100% will be back❤️

We stayed here five years ago and it was so lovely to come back again. We had a nice room with sea view which is always lovely. Felt very safe as they had good Covid protocols such as everyone wearing masks. This did mean that breakfast was a little tricky as it was not a self service, for obvious reasons, but that is a small niggle. Yes, parking is difficult but both times we have come has been out of season so we had no trouble.

We had a terrific stay at Hotel Hostalillo and truly enjoyed our time in Tamariu. It is a 1:45 minute drive from Barcelona, thank Google maps for directions. The breakfast is excellent with abundant fresh fruit, a wide selection of breads, pastries and croissants. Fresh country eggs! Make sure you get a sea view room, we were on the 4th floor & enjoyed the beautiful views. The parking is a bit tricky, there is a free village lot on a side street, it took me a few attempts to find it. We had dinner 1 evening, it was ok not exceptional. We loved the seafood meals at the restaurants along the beachfront. Ask for beach towels & chairs at the front desk. The staff is very friendly.

I had a lump in my throat when I left this hotel and had to fight to hold back the tears. That's a first for me: I'm usually itching to get home to see my dogs by the end of any holiday! This was no different, in that I couldn't wait to see my dogs - and I actually had a lot to look forward to when we got back - but the experience we had here was such that I just wished I could have them there with me and stay forever! It helped that Tamariu was our idea of paradise, but the hotel was a huge part of what made it the perfect holiday for us. I doubt we'd have loved it as much as we did if Hotel Hostalillo hadn't been as good as it was. It's a fairly small hotel (what we wanted) and only offers the basics - but what it does, it does incredibly well. It's understated, but lovely, in decor. The rooms are lovely and clean; our bathroom was wonderful and looked like it had just been refurbished but I don't think it had been - it had just been kept very clean!! We had a room with a balcony overlooking the side beach (the side to the right of the hotel), which was lovely as it got the sun in the evening - and we could hear the sea when we went to sleep, and see it from bed when we woke up in the mornings! The food is amazing (breakfast, or any meal, on the terrace by the beach is truly magical). There may be no pool to sit by (the beach is just steps away - they don't need one!!), but they do have loungers on the terrace adjoining the bar with a lovely view. It's generally very quiet during the day as most people go to the beach so there were only a few people around the few times we decided to sit out there for a couple of hours before getting ready for dinner. It was a bit busier around the bar in the evenings, but still feels quite exclusive, intimate and laid back. There was always somewhere to sit with an amazing view when we were there!! The staff are all lovely, and can't do enough for you. They obviously enjoy working there so, consequently, the atmosphere in the hotel is wonderful - relaxed, and very welcoming. For those keener to spend their days on the beach, it's only a stone's throw away - literally, although there are a few steps to it so you need a degree of mobility to get there (the hotel itself has lifts and ramps - and plenty of places to watch everything - if needed). The hotel will give you beach towels, and even have a stock of beach chairs/umbrellas donated by past guests they loan out (just ask at reception). They still had some later in the afternoon when we asked for them, but the selection was a bit limited by then. We're not huge beach people, but did spend a lovely afternoon on the beach - you'll come across every nationality, but it doesn't feel overcrowded or touristy. We have been to some pretty upmarket destinations in our time, but just wanted a base to chill out and relax in this time - and we got that and more with the Hotel Hostalillo and Tamariu! It's probably not the destination or hotel for people who want lots going on to entertain them, but there's plenty to do if you want to. The Julivia open-top tourist bus is a must, and you can hire a boat to go our and explore the coast (Paco Boats in Tamariu are brilliant!) - so we had a few fabulous trips out, but it was lovely to came back to Tamariu and the hotel. Just perfect, all of it - and especially the hotel and its staff.

Boutique hotel with the most amazing view of a beautiful bay. If you can, spurge on a room with a balcony with ocean view. Bar and restaurant on site are nice with amazing view. Staff are welcoming and speak many languages including French and English. Room are spacious. Easy access to the beach. Not accessible because of the large number of stairs.

The location of the hotel is perfect, right next to the beach. We had rooms with a wonderful view over the bay. The room itself was quite large, well equipped and perfectly clean. Staff at reception was really nice and helpful, and also Tomeu at the bar was very friendly. Staff at the hotel restaurant in the evening however is really unfriendly and unprofessional, not worthy of an otherwise perfect place. They go as far as suggest that you should get your drinks from the bar yourself... The breakfast buffet is really good, and the terrace where you take the breakfast has a very nice view on the bay. The view from the bar is also nice, tapas there are quite good. Beware that there is no parking at the hotel. In August, parking in Tamariu is very difficult, so I had to park approx. 10 minute walk away. No problem loading / unloading at the hotel however.

·Having stayed here a few years ago, we knew it would be a superb location overlooking the bay at Tamariu. Our room had a sea view balcony and the room was very spacious and clean, as was the bathroom with a large glass sided, walk in shower. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. However, several issues arised during our stay. First off, after booking I sent the hotel a message via Booking.com asking for parking. On arrival, they denied any knowledge, saying that all requests had to be via direct email, despite the fact that they are happy enough to send YOU messages via booking.com! We had to park in the village for the first 2 nights, but we were told we could have parking for the rest of our stay at 18 euros a night. On the penultimate day, a Sunday, I received a phone call saying that I had to give back the key to the parking as it was booked for someone else, leaving me to attempt to find a space in the village on a sunny Sunday afternoon when the the place was full of beach goers and many other visitors. I managed to get the last available space! The response from the hotel was "Regarding the parking matter, we would like to inform you that, indeed, parking was requested, although not confirmed as it is only confirmed under availability (which was not the case) and via e-mail." I am not sure what that means exactly or how many times I have to ask for something before it is actioned. One of the messages received via booking.com said that breakfast times would be allocated to avoid crowding as a Covid precaution. Being early risers, we opted for 8:00 am, but on the first day the staff didn't actually arrive until 8:10 to lay out the tables and the buffet style breakfast. Not much improvement was experienced over the remaining six mornings. As for the breakfast, if you like lukewarm hot food on a stone cold plate, you will love it! On the subject of cold food, I ordered a "cafe con leche" from the bar, that was barely warm when it arrived. I sent it back and got another which was barely warmer so gave up. The young man operating the coffee machine clearly needs more training. As for the room itself, lots of space and a HUGE bed, but totally inadequate storage, drawers etc. for clothes. As two people staying for 7 nights we mainly had to live out of our suitcases. There was a mini-bar style fridge, but nothing in it at all, not even one complimentary small bottle of water, very poor and penny pinching. Worse than that, there were no tea/coffee making facilities. Also the toilet paper was thin, recycled and of poor quality :-( Response from the hotel was that tea/coffee making facilities are ONLY available in "double superior rooms with coffee making facilities which are much more spacious", so we poor people in a room that is less than "superior" just have to put up with it. At least they had stopped charging for the use of the safe in the room, as they did on the previous visit. Disappointed to find that the issues I mentioned in my previous review have not changed, apart from the use of the safe now being free of charge. Unlikely to be staying here ever again.

Visited this lovely boutique hotel, whilst attending a wedding held at Las Torroella. The hotel overlooks a small picturesque bay/cove, which you can easily walk down to the beach from. Pristine, modern interior with plenty of outdoor seating whether on the terrace, bar or dinning room, all with beautiful views overlooking the beach. Friendly staff who are only too willing to assist you with fresh towels or anything extra you require. Continental breakfast served with plenty of choice of fresh pastries. A cab/transfer from the hotel back to Girona airport is 90 Euros (up to 3 people), which the reception staff happily arrange for you. Highly recommend.

Lovely little hotel set a little back from the beach (a 2 min. walk). Room was very clean, nicely decorated, modern bathroom and comfy bed. Only had breakfast here once as my wife wanted to breakfast overlooking the sea at Hotel Tamariu, but on the day I did take breakfast it was good - buffet style. Staff were young and very friendly and helpful

This would have been a great review, this hotel is well situated right next to the beach, clean and our room was ok nothing fancy but ok. The problem is that there is a bar above the rooms so we could hear all the people at the bar but worse, all the chairs moving around …I would not recommend this place
