Beautiful beachfront hotel in this pretty cove of Tamariu. The terraces where you can eat and the bar all have views of this beautiful beach. A bar at the foot of the hotel is part of the complex. Breakfasts, buffet-shaped, are plentiful, the restaurant offers menus for 30€, dessert hors d'oeuvres, very tasty. Welcoming and professional staff. Little downside on the non-existent parking lot, we can just park for luggage. Public parking at 2€80 a day is available nearby, if it is not complete. Go around 9am because the day is between 9am and 11pm.No swimming pool or private beach...

We booked a family room which consisted of a queen bed and bath in one room, and two doubles in a smaller room, which also had a bath. Each room had a balcony which did not overlook the beach. Clean and comfortable room and well appointed bath. Spent a day at the beach swimming (in October!) and the water is great. Very chilly, but I didn't care. Super clear water - wish I had brought my googles. There are some good restaurants along the beach area. Hotel has a very large lounge area with comfy sofas, etc., but does not offer any games, which is a shame, as it would be a perfect spot. Staff is very nice. Parking is available in a private garage for a fee.

We spent a week here, half board. The hotel is straightforward and well-run. You get a good room with fantastic views. The food is great both at breakfast and in the evening. We requested two rooms together and got them. Well done, this does not always happen!
For a three-star hotel, the facilities and levels of comfort certainly met our expectations, although the beds were firm and the headboards ridged and uncomfortable. The fridge was well used, and a great feature, a kettle in the room would have been good, but I guess it would have stopped us buying coffees from the bar!
In terms of food, there are no complaints, after a week the menu in the evening was getting a little boring but this is us being really picky. What I would say is that the restaurant staff do a really great job contrary to some previous reviews. They seemed to do a good job juggling guests and tables while being attentive to our needs. Well done!
The beach is great, and our teenage boys loved the diving board on the rocky ledge. Snorkelling was great; walks were good, but the shops and restaurants were limited in October. I guess in high season, there would not be too much of an issue.
If you want a good mid-range hotel in a quiet but fantastic beach location in Spain, look no further.

Hotel in a great location overlooking a beautiful but small beach that was very crowded even in September. Our room was large and bright with a great view. Unfortunately it was also close to the function room, the restaurant balcony was below it and the bar above it. It was so noisy, with slamming doors, moving furniture and people shouting, at 3:30am we complained to the night staff at reception who agreed it was a very noisy room. In the morning we were offered a different room but they denied the night staff knew how noisy the room is and said we must have not understood. All the staff spoke English well. We decided that, as the function was over we would stay in our room. The next night it was just as noisy from the bar above so we moved rooms. We were given a much smaller and tatty room for the same price, with no apology. The hotel is clean but basic, there is no mini bar, just an empty fridge. Most of the staff were lovely and polite but some of the reception staff were dismissive and actually quite insulting, accusing us of lying about the night staff agreeing about our noisy room. I strongly believe that our room should not have been used without a warning about the noise so that guests could choose if this would be a problem for them. A great view is not enough to compensate for not sleeping night after night. Furthermore the response from the reception was appalling, they sought to find fault with us instead of showing any empathy or understanding, they didn't even ask to step into the room at night time to check for themselves about the noise or help them to become informed for future problems. Our next room was much worse, very tatty with a tiny bathroom with barely flushing toilet but considered good enough because it was quieter and still had a good view, there was no change in price for this sub standard room. We wanted to leave early but the head receptionist insisted on sticking to hotel policy, that we would have to give them 2 nights notice. She obviously had no authorisation to respond to problems. I complained to the hotel chain but have had no response.

Hotel which must be pleasant in low season. Friendly reception staff. Big problem with soundproofing the rooms on the 2nd floor (reception). You hear everything that happens in the corridor, the words of the rooms next door, the moving of the beds on the upper floor by the cleaning ladies, etc...) Ask for the 4th or 5th floor. Varied and good breakfast. Good restaurant. No private beach and it is not a fine sand beach (coarse grains or pebbles). Beach supervised but very noisy (presence of a diving board) and crowded with people due to the proximity of the campsite. We can barely put one foot in front of the other... You can request a beach towel and umbrella (free) Very complicated parking. The hotel has 8 parking spaces at 18€/day but you must reserve when booking the rooms I will never go back there in July-August.

We have stayed at this hotel 2 times. The best thing about the hotel is the location with incredible views. The rooms depend on where they are located, the last time we were not able to enjoy the side terrace or the views since there were 3 air conditioning splits running, releasing hot air 24 hours a day. The quality of the food and breakfast in the restaurant is good but not so much the service is a bit slow and chaotic. The views improve the experience, ditto the bar. The last time we stayed we had an unpleasant experience. My son forgot his sports shoes, the next day they confirmed that they had them. We sent a courier and they returned some destroyed sneakers that were not ours. They insisted that they had collected them from our room, they have not recognized the error nor taken care of the shipping costs. For this we will not return.

We feel so fortunate that the we were able to come back after two cancelled holidays during the craziness of the last few years. Thanks to all the staff at the hotel, a wonderful room overlooking the bay and a wrap around terrace, great breakfast buffet back to normal service and some warm weather - we had a marvellous stay. Particular shout out to the hard working breakfast team, the front desk team and the cleaners who keep this place spotless. As usual, just a skip from the beach down the steps makes the location wonderful and even in late May the weather was warm enough most days for lazing on the beach even if the sea was a little cool, albeit still swimmable. We'll be back as soon as we can be!

We had a terrific stay at Hotel Hostalillo and truly enjoyed our time in Tamariu. It is a 1:45 minute drive from Barcelona, thank Google maps for directions. The breakfast is excellent with abundant fresh fruit, a wide selection of breads, pastries and croissants. Fresh country eggs! Make sure you get a sea view room, we were on the 4th floor & enjoyed the beautiful views. The parking is a bit tricky, there is a free village lot on a side street, it took me a few attempts to find it. We had dinner 1 evening, it was ok not exceptional. We loved the seafood meals at the restaurants along the beachfront. Ask for beach towels & chairs at the front desk. The staff is very friendly.

We were in our own car so can't advise about hire. Parking in Oct at Hostalillo was fine. The road to Tamariu is a bit twisty turny and needs some care after dark!
Dear Viorel D, our bar is open everyday from 11:15h to 23:45h, in the evening the meals are served from 19:30h to 22:30h also in the restaurant. We look forward to your visit!
Hello Arleen D,
We recommend our guests to come directly to the hotel with the car.
We have a couple spaces for you to leave your car while we make the check in, and we can recommend you where to go to park on the street at 3 minutes by walk of the hotel in a safe and free area.
We do have a private parking with few spaces at 100 mts from the hotel, they have a charge of 14 € per night. We can book one for you in case you are interested.
